   Michael has done an absolutely brilliant job with our 8 leather dining room chairs, and a bespoke antique chair cushion cover with horse hair. The work is of a very high standard, he is lovely to deal with and very careful to offer exactly what is required. The cost was very reasonable too - he goes above and beyond. Highly recommend

   Michael Herd is a fantastic upholsterer. I first asked him to redo my mother’s Liberty Knole sofa which was structurally sound but tired, frumpy and old fashioned. He updated it and turned it into a gorgeous item that looks perfect in my very modern apartment. I then gave him my Yaacov Kaufman ‘virgola’ chair which was apparently upholstered as one piece of material. This was a challenge but did not deter Michael and my chair came back perfect and stunning. I highly recommend Michael.

   Very happy with the service received by Michael and his team for restuffing our tired out sofa. Living in a small flat we are very limited to space so need to keep the existing sofa as it fitted the space we had perfectly. Not only was restuffing the sofa a much cheaper option than replacing it for new it also allowed us to choose options for how you like the sofa restuffed. As a larger person we were able to choose to restuff the sofa with a much firmer material than originally came with the sofa giving much better support. We could then have a much softer stuffing for the pillows and the cushions. The freedom in being able to customise each part of the stuffing for the sofa gave us exactly what we desired and improved on the original stuffing. We received our repaired sofa in less than in 3 weeks including the time to decide on stuffing material to be used. Would highly recommend herd upholstery to anyone looking to revitalise their old sofas and even potentially improve on the original stuffing.
