Julian especially was terrific. Really prompt and efficient with his service. Such a pleasure to work with. Was able to sort out my kitchen and decide on everything within a few short hours β which was very handy especially given that I was in a time crunch. The kitchen has turned out beautifully.

I was holding off this review but I am beyond frustrated with howdens. In summer of 2023 I asked for a new kitchen to be designed. The designer Charlie came and measured the kitchen but upon delivery my contractors saw that he did not properly take into account the ceiling bit and therefore required more panels and some genius thinking from my contractors. How he misses such an important detail is a mystery. Then when the electrical equipments were delivered, we realized they had supplied a faulty fridge. It took forever to get it resolved as they forgot to tell us that we had to bring the fridge down two set of stairs to the front of the flat when the new one is being delivered. this delayed our new fridge for another week or so. Then Charlie told us he would offer us as a gesture of good will the labour cost. He didnβt specify how much, but when invoicing them he told us it was only Β£150. Apparently he is also the deputy manager and how he messes up so many times is beyond me. Iβve sent emails to the howdens HQ complain department but has heard nothing. Recently it was our fault but we broke the induction hobβs outer layer. All we need to do was to get a new glass panel, but apparently howdens no longer supplies them anymore which is ridiculous as it is less than 2 years hold and how the piece is no longer in circulation is questionable. We are now looking at shelling addition Β£1600 when the part that needs replacing should only cost Β£200. What a joke of a store and I would not recommend howdens to anyone. Update August 2025: another issue where howdens is incompetent. The tap we broke two years ago broke and three weeks on no one is getting us a new part. Apparently their supplier isnβt responding but so what am I supposed to do then? Might be going to arbitration as this is frankly ridiculous

Howdens is great! They were very helpful during the design process, and even after the design, they continued to provide excellent support. Ross and Charlie especially helped me resolve an issue with substituting a piece. We love our kitchen and our wardrobe, and I strongly recommend visiting Howdens in Battersea. Their design services were excellent, and they provided great support during construction and after installation. I found the team very approachable and helpful throughout the entire process.

Ordered a fitted unit to install in a new loft conversion. Everything was collected, found a large number of items were missing; my contractor returned three times and the branch continued to give him boxes missing items. I then emailed the branch a number of times, but got no response, including making a request for a formal complaint. They just ignored it. Iβve now started getting chaser emails, over six weeks later, saying that I have to pay the bill, or there will be legal action, but nobody has responded, and the order is incomplete! These guys could not run a bath, never mind a business!!

I have dealt with Howdens through my small company for approximately four years, however last year without my consent or knowledge Kate and Charlie(ex branch manager) from Battersea branch let a client who i was only fitting a kitchen for put Β£7000 on my account(without my knowledge or permission)the account limit wa was only 5000??? I have told them and lots of people at Howden some multiple interactions the situation this was done without my permission by Kate and Charlie (now at Wimbledon branch )that this is nothing to do with me and a quality issue with the person who bought the kitchen and pain direct the other Β£13000 odd pounds for it. Howdens have knocked off various amounts but the account still stands at Β£3700. And they have told me two days running I will not take any more off despite it being nothing to do with meThey know they are wrong but have made a mistake and Howdens refuse to correct it . Since then I was diagnosed with stage three cancer 5 months ago I have had radical surgery and am having Radiotherapy Iβve had dozens of calls and emails from Howdens demanding money, they just ignore what Iβm saying verbally and by email they even got a letter from the client who bought the kitchen directly from them saying it was nothing to do with me and the dispute is with her, however Howdens harass me on an almost daily basis for the money. This has been very detrimental to my mental and physical health as far as it has almost given me suicidal thoughts and my company to the brink of collapse as I cannot sleep, strangely worrying about this more than my cancer. if I survive this cancer I will be taking legal action against them. In the meantime I will spread the story on other forms of social media. Please be aware of Howdens. They are not the nice company that appear to be. please be aware if you are suffering from cancer or the diminished state, I think Howdens actually use this to bully you further, Iβve explained multiple times and they still keep calling. They are a disgrace.. Date of experience: May 01, 2025

Dealing with branch has been an absolute nightmare. Somehow our order was incorrectly arranged from another branch, fine not their fault, but the time and lack of communication to rectify the issue has taken us into a second week. Deliveries turn up when they feel like it and there is no getting through to Tom as he never seems to answer the direct mobile number he gives us. The branch line rings and rings and when is answered the person on the other end unusually can't actually solve your issue or find Tom. We use Howdens regularly for jobs, but on this occasion it has put unnecessary delays and pressure to complete a very simple refurb on a very important job. The deadline is moving closer and closer and we are still waiting hoping the delivery were promised will show up. With each day that comes a goes we have a man on site twiddling his thumbs as he can't fit the kitchen, we need to complete the job for our client. Making us look incompetent and ruining our reputation. We paid for the kitchen pity you can buy the service. Usless and incompetent is the only compliment i can muster for this lot right now.

I have bought a kitchen and some doors from Howdens Battersea and had mixed experience - the designer and reception were very good but the delivery staff I encountered not very good at all. Recently I ordered some doors over the phone but the staff took the wrong order, after delivery I realised the doors were not of the sizes I ordered, therefore arranged a swap which happened a week later. Although it was a mistake by the store, I took all the wrong doors down to the ground floor reception myself to make it easier for the delivery person to take them away. When the delivery person arrived, I asked him whether he could help bring the new doors into the reception (only a few steps away from the van), because it was their mistake in the first place (otherwise they would not have provided this swap for free), and I took all the wrong doors down to make his job easier. To this he refused very bluntly. When I explained it was their mistake in the first place, he said that I was the one who made the mistake! It would be unfair to say that this upsetting experience represents Howdens Battersea as a whole, but it does hurt customer relationship a lot, I would have second thought next time when I need something again from Howdens Battersea. For people reading this review, it is only feedback to that delivery person as my experience with other staff in the branch was very positive.
