I have been eager to try here for a while and we booked over two weeks before dining. The food was very good… however: -It took us about 15 minutes or more to get the bottle of wine we ordered -When it came it was the wrong bottle -We were shoved upstairs on the second floor on the side as a table of two and getting up from the table was SO difficult. -Our starter came which we shared with no cutlery or plates. The restaurant has a lot of potential however for the price of the food, the slow service and lack of personal space was very disappointing. For a £130 bill between us, to be like sardines in a tin was not great.

4 of us for a catch up meal last night. From the second we walked in the staff were brilliant.. really friendly and helpful. We had a table upstairs in a room really tastefully decorated, although a little cold initially. The food was wonderful. We had salmon terrine and a mushroom starter, sirloin and ribeye steaks.. absolutely lovely.. perfectly cooked and tasty... And all served by a really lovely waitress. Thanks for a lovely evening

This was a lovely place with great food. We went with the offer of a pound per ounce and it was fab. Staff were great too.

Went to Ounce for the first time last night and we weren't disappointed. We both had fillet steak and chips and both meals were excellent, beautifully cooked and great quality all round. The reason for 3 stars: We were put upstairs in the corner table for 2 and we both felt cramped, the table for 2 behind us we were bumping chairs the whole time, heard similar comments from the other diners, it needs 2 tables removing to create a bit of space for people to enjoy their meals in comfort. Service was pretty slow, took too long to take drinks order, the bar was busy so the drinks took ages to arrive. Food order was then another wait. It felt understaffed for the number of people in, which for a Saturday evening, the number of people shouldn't come as a surprise. The mac and cheese side was really disappointing, tasteless pasta which had dried out on the top under the grill so the top later was basically inedible. A bit of a waste of £5.50. The Crème Brûlée was nice but certainly not £9 nice, had significantly better for less. Needed more vanilla and was slightly too firm if you want specifics. All in all we had a good evening, its not put us off going again but we wouldn't order the sides next time and would skip desert.

My partner and I visited Ounce to celebrate my birthday in August. As it was a Wednesday, the restaurant had a fantastic mid-week offer of £1 per 1oz of sirloin steak, cut to the size you request. Both my partner and I decided to have a 24oz steak each and we weren’t disappointed! The steak was cooked to perfection and really tender and juicy. Both were served with chips and salad. The cocktail menu has a great selection of drinks to suit all tastes, and they even made a non-alcoholic strawberry mojito for partner as he doesn’t drink alcohol. The atmosphere within the restaurant was lovely, really chilled out vibes and beautiful decor! The staff were lovely, and very knowledgeable about both the food and drinks menu. Even took the time to answer any of our questions about the origins of the meat. Only downside is that the restaurant doesn’t have a private car park, but there is plenty of parking available on the roadside and surrounding areas. Overall, we had a great time and can’t wait to visit again!

Absolutely amazing food! Monday-Wednesday is only £1 per ounce which is a fantastic deal. The sharing starter platter was the perfect amount for 2 people. The main which me and my partner picked (butchers cut steak) came with fries and a side salad, we added the extras of spinach and cauliflower cheese which accompanied the steak perfectly! The staff were really polite and courteous. Parking outside the building was only for 45 minutes but there is also private off road parking around the back of the restaurant which you can stay at for 2 hours. I Would definitely recommend trying out the food if your a steak lover or if your in and around Worcester.

The food was of the most excellent quality and I would without doubt recommend it. Fillet steak literally was melt in the mouth. Service was great; welcoming and helpful. The only disappointment for me was the seating, which was too low for the tables and required extra cushions. I think the idea was to make it more lounge style, but it felt like you weren't in a good eating position, feeling rather awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, the experience of Ounce was pleasant and the cosy atmosphere made for a very delightful evening.

Food was excellent. Fillet steak that melted in the mouth. Lovely ambience, comfortable seating, great service. Tempted by the puddings too. Chocolate orange brownie was the best choice!
