   Would not recommend. Specifically, do not use these if you're buying a shared ownership house. Replies were slow. lack of due diligence, rude emails, lack of chasing. Felt i did more chasing and work than JA Taft did. Took 8 months to make the sale.

   Wish I had read more reviews before I instructed this firm. First, comms were slow and sparse, lots of chasing for little response, if any. Emails were terse and phone calls non-existent. Second, I was told about problems but given no idea about possible resolutions - for example, Building Regs not obtained for work done on my potential purchase - Google kindly informed me this could be rectified. Just no support or advice when needed, thank goodness I'm not a FTB. Searches took 16 weeks to come back - my new conveyancer is advising less than 1 week. All pretty rubbish but at least my fee was discounted, hence the extra star!

   We recently used Tafts for a sale and purchase. We didn't have the best communication with them throughout - constantly chasing for replies, both of our agents got involved and in the end we felt the only way to speed up the process was to constantly ring or email them. Often when we phoned we spoke with a young male on reception, he was never very helpful, only giving very brief answers to our queries. Several times we were told someone would get back to us "shortly" and this didn't happen unless we chased them, again first. To top it off, on the day of completion we heard nothing from them, despite them telling us we would get a phone call, again we had to chase them first, so we didn't know our house had completed, until we contacted them. Wouldn't recommend.
