Ordered last night - absolute delicious freshly cooked fish, chips and mushy peas. The fish was lightly crispy battered and was not dripping of grease and the chips, hot fresh and delicious. All in all - very tasty and hot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After glowing reviews I ordered from Mr Shaks and I wasn't disappointed, I ordered cod and chips that was lovely and fresh with tasty crispy batter and the chips were gorgeous, but the mixed meat sizzler was the best thing I've tasted in a while, kebab fried with peppers tomato and onion (mmm delicious). This will be my new go to from now on. Ordered through just eat, delivery was on time and food was still hot despite it being rush hour, highly recommended. Picture is from the bit I couldn't eat after stuffing my face, which I'll put in a wrap later.
Ordered the chicken curry and chips as well as the red donner and chips. Great portions. Red donner tasted great. Perfect amount of spices on it. Not too chewy either. Curry was ok as well. Good for those who eat spicy food. Definitely preferred the donner though. Chicken fillet burger was good enough for a fish and chips shop. NOTE: Do not order the halloumi. Big let down. Honestly tasted like dirt. Wouldn’t feed it to my worst enemy. I highly recommend it gets taken off the menu.
I learnt of this little place about 7/8 months ago. It’s not been open very long, probably a year or so. It has become my ‘go to’ place when I want fish and chips! It is a little more expensive than all the other fish and chip shops locally but it’s definitely worth it! All the food is freshly made, so you can be waiting a while if you don’t call and order in advance. I’ve visited a few times now and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. The place is really small but always very clean. Parking is a big issue, unfortunately but there are some side roads nearby without any parking restrictions.
Everyone likes tasty food. But, when is about fish and chips, i think i found the best place where i could try a traditional fish and chips. I have noticed that the chips tastes like chips and the fish like fish and also the chicken like chicken. Not like the most places where I've been and everything is a mix of taste. I think that's the effect of keeping the oil fresh so the food is more delicious. If you are on surroundings, you can try out this restaurant. It's worth it.
Food at Mr shaks is consistently good. I have tried a few different dish's now and all have been very tasty. Hygiene is very good and everything has been freshly made each time. It is nice to have a reliable takeaway in the area for a change, i would highly recommend the food.
I went to this place and all I can say the service was great also the place looked amazing and clean the food is at top level and you’ll never be disappointed one of the great dishes there I recommend is the fish and chips I’m not forgetting the chicken kebab also curry sauce was banging and to top it all off the staff give you a smile and send you off in a positive way. Definitely a place to visit if you’re around the area .. not to be missed food 10 - 10
I had fish and chips from the new chippy on windmill I loved them. Staff was excellent and great service.had a large Donna kebab for £5.00 plenty of meat worth the money good service. I made my order paid for it got my shopping in my order was waiting for me. I had the best ever Donna in a nann bread this was my first one value for your money at £5.50.
