Booked 3 hours in advance for a 18:30 collection. At 18:40 we called to ask where it is and they said 10 more minutes! At 18:52, we called again, 3 more minutes. Turned up at 18:58. Made us late for our restaurant booking. Never using unreliable service again!!

Booked and paid for by local authority for a disabled person but constantly not turning up, tried to complain directly but phone operators very rude and called me a lier even though cctv has been checked and shows no cars. Avoid at all costs

Booked and paid for a taxi for 19.00 taxi showed as dispatched however at 19.15 I got a call to cancell saying they would refund my money and its been a week no refund. Don't trust this company Gold star are far better

A1 used to have good professional drivers. MM72 KTK reverses pulls forward and then reversed toward me as a pedestrian. Its a bit off when you jave to tap the car to stop. Funny when the driver say I can see you? So why not stop then!

Booked on their app hours before . Booking showed up in the app until ten minutes before due then disappeared,when I rang (the phone initial message said I had a booking) I was told they didn't have any driver's available This is not the first time either At least have the courtesy to inform customers in good time to make other arrangements

Pre booked taxi for 20.25 to get to coach station for 9. Phoned at 20.35 when it had not arrived. Told only got 2 drivers, we'll get to you when we can. Why would they take my booking at 7.30 if they couldn't fulfill their end of the contract. Turned up at 8.55 by which point I'd missed coach and had to wait hr in coach station for the next one. Attitude of call handler was poor.

Awful, awful service. I downloaded the app, and prebooked a taxi 4 days in advance to take me to the train station for 6.50am on a Monday morning, received confirmation of the booking straightaway but was called Sunday, the evening before the pickup to say they were cancelling. Gave me no chance to put in place alternative transport and left me in very difficult situation. Abysmal customer service. Would never recommend or use again!!

Having used A1 for as long as I can remember, I will not be doing so from now on. Having recently moved house, I booked a taxi to take me 2.5 miles. The driver was just five minutes away. The fare was Β£12, which I wasn't pre-warned about. They claim the higher charge was due to being an 'out of area' journey. The driver had been virtually on the doorstep, so didn't even have to travel far to me in the first instance. I previously, regularly, made a 13-mile journey, from Maltby to Sheffield, at a cost of Β£22, so 'out of area' doesn't seem a valid justification in my opinion. I had a Sheffield taxi come all the way over and take me home for just under Β£9. In fact, it would be cheaper to get a taxi over to Rotherham train station, then take a train back over here again, than to use A1 to go 2.5 miles. They should have told me of the inflated cost, before I booked. Very disappointed.

Terrible service. The actual taxi driver was lovely, but the guys organising the fare from head office just were rude and repeatedly lied to us about where our taxi was etc. the taxi ended up being nearly an hour late and when challenged about the wait, we were told that we were lying to them and that theyβd always told us the time frame we was going to be 45 minutes late minimum. After ordering a taxi for 12.30 at 12 at night and told no problems; we ended up being stood outside in the cold until 1.20am where other taxis were coming and going freely from a1 and some not even picking up anyone from the hotel. Would never use again after years of using them as a first point of call.

TERRIBLE taxi company! I'm only leaving one star because it's not possible to leave no stars. Left my wife and her friend out in freezing temperatures for well over an hour for a taxi that was booked and paid for 2 days before. Then tried to put it back on them saying that it's busy and that everyone has to wait, well they should manage their workload and not take on more than they are capable of handling. Won't be using again and will be telling everyone I know to do the same.
