What a gem of a place! A lovely, traditional theatre, dating back to the 1930s, in the heart of Birkenhead. Easy to get to by train, bus or car and full of lovely, friendly people.

It was a lovely little community theatre with a small bar reasonably priced & also a table for hot drinks & biscuits. Sadly it was the most apallingly bad am-dram perfermance I have ever seen in my whole life! The relics on stage had no concept for vocal projection yet refused to wear mics so dialogue & naration were barely audible & at the intermission a large chunk of the audience simply left in disapointment & disgust. I don't think the director or any of the cast had ever read 'A Christmas Carol' or seen a movie of it as famous pieces of dialogue were completely left out! Also, its a PRIZE GOOSE in the poulterers window NOT a Turkey although this entire show was an utter turkey & the entire cast should be 'boiled with their own pudding & buried with a steak of holly through their hearts'!

Lovely little theatre. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The seats are very comfortable, the bar is very reasonably priced, and they do take card payments.

Haven't been here for about 6 years. Had an amazing time, made all the better by Barry and Mary and the rest of the staff. Lovely lovely people. Soooo helpful to me. Play 'Towards Zero' was Fab too. Great night out!

We had our sons Christening event here and it was a perfect venue for our large group. Even though they don't do catering they allow you to bring in your own food and have an bar they can open should you wish for your guests. Would highly recommend this place.

We have been to the Little Theatre many times to see the Carlton Players who are always fantastic and so professional. Last night we saw a performance by the Woolgathers who were equally as good. The theatre is brilliant and the staff excellent. Would highly recommend it.

It is wonderful that these time capsules haven't been lost. It is like stepping back in time. Apparently at one time it was a church site, need to look into the history more, but you wouldn't know it. Well attended production of Arnold Ridley's (Private Godfrey in Dad's Army) 1923 play The Ghost Train. Lovely comedy/ drama with great twists at the end. Very enjoyable. These small productions make theatre affordable for everyone. We'll be back!
