Saw A Christmas Carol. Proper job. Dickens as written — no woke crap, no sermons, no idiots stapling their opinions to a 19th-century ghost story. Just misery, greed, cold rooms, and redemption earned the hard way. Actors nailed it and for two hours nobody tried to improve on a classic. That alone deserves a standing ovation. Which it got!! Go. Drink after.

Been to the lyric numerous times and I love it. Went to see a Christmas Carol last week (was there last year too!) - first of all, what a show - highly recommend, amazing performances, what a talented bunch. It felt so Christmassy. Love the Lyric.

Great Saturday afternoon short play, great atmosphere. Just one problem for us, it was too warm, others probably loved it but it made us sleepy. Mild October weather to blame! Great way to pass an afternoon, followed by a dander through botanic gardens and some food.

Visited the Lyric Theatre recently to see the production of Romeo and Juliet. Its a great venue, and staff are helpful. Would recommend.

A beautiful building with great entertainment. Tonight’s visit was to see Romeo and Juliet, a very enjoyable production with good acting and direction, made even more magical by the scenery and lighting. Plenty of on street parking, a good range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drink’s and good access throughout.

Ignorant and frankly heartless member of staff in the box office. Have been a few times and I could have got over the small theatre, very cramped seating and poor access/no parking available, but the lady I had the misfortune of chatting to on the phone recently is what made me give 1*. Would give zero stars if I could. Also contacted the Lyric Theatre about it on their website's 'Contact us' section detailing the very hurtful incident..and didn't receive a reply. So, that's also a pointless tool just 'for show' on their website really. Will not be attending any event in the Lyric again and will be making others aware of how they treat people.

We attended the Lyric Theatre to see Doug Allen. The event was amazing and very interesting! We had arrived a little late and the receptionist was a bit Sharp by stating the show had already started. The venue was spacious, a bar and room to socialise. The theatre itself had comfortable chairs, good view from all seating areas. We had parked a couple of streets over as its quite difficult to park near the venue as they don't have a car park. The decoration around the venue provided a nice atmosphere. The art work was amazing also.
