I came today Morning with severe sore throat and they asked to wait 2hrs then after that they discharged me!!!! No one knows who discharged,??? And now again asked to wait. If the doctor cannot see me, they could say not possible now after waiting more than 3 hrs still asking to wait. Nothing can be done to such ignorance and arrogance.

I always think the A&E at Chelsea & Westminster is great, especially compared with some others. We previously went to an A&E outside of London and it seemed like chaos - unorganised & so many people waiting around. Whereas at Chelsea, it feels calm, spacious and organised. You are seen relatively quickly by triage (probably within the first 30 mins of arriving) and then after that I just waited an hour before being seen by a doctor - he was very knowledgeable, professional, reassuring, kind and calm. Thank you!

Took 12 months old with fever of 39 and passing out to A&E. They stripped him and left us in the waiting area for 6h. Occasionally attended and offered ibuprofen when his temperature would not come down from paracetamol. He vomited from ibuprofen and we were told a nurse will come back right away to give him another dose. The nurse never showed up and after 40min we had to chase ourselves. Another nurse came in 20min to hand ibuprofen. A throat swab was taken to determine the cause of throat infection- viral or bacterial. Just called to follow up, as expected reception is the most unfriendly, uncaring department who just told me to wait for a call and if it’s not back in 4 days… 4 days (it takes 48h to have results) to call and chase…

The a and e doctor I saw was dismissive, rude and used sexist language minimalising my injuries. He sent me away as if there was nothing wrong with me. I was in so much pain I got upset and so he complained and told me to go to my GP. However I went back the next day because that just could not cope with the pain in my hand and shoulder I've crashed on my bike into a wall. What transpired was I had a fractured wrist and ligament rupture which I had to look after myself. I could not get my shoulder to stay in it socket and after seven weeks of no medical care or pain management from this hospital I went privately and had an ultrasound scan with a physiotherapist and he found a rotator cuff Tear with inflammation surrounding the Joint. So I went to a Kingston hospital and he said why are they making you choose one Joint over another because that's why I was told to do by the doctor I saw first. So I left the shoulder injury and it got worse. I couldn't sleep at night. So Kingston accident in Emergency referred me to the shoulder Clinic this week. My GP was just as bad because they dismissed my pain as did 111. I can't believe that I've spent eight weeks with excruciating pain and crying at night not being able to sleep being treated as if I'm a malingerer. I'll never go back to chelsey again the only other other responsible but they are negligent. They tried to blame my injury on my Hypermobility at Chelsea which has got absolutely nothing to do with a broken bone. I complained to the past department and instead of address in the problem they try to buy my emotional Estate for the injuries I had. They delayed my recovery by two months. Really negligent

I would like to share my experience with Chelsea Emergency. I came in with severe pain and was admitted very quickly. The doctors and nurses carried out all the necessary examinations, explained my condition in detail, and even gave me the choice — to stay for surgery or to let the stone pass naturally under their supervision. They were attentive, patient, and truly professional throughout. The wards are clean and comfortable, the equipment is modern, and even the food was good. Yes, it sometimes takes time because it is emergency care and there are many patients, but I always felt cared for and safe. As someone who is not a UK resident and doesn’t speak English fluently, I had always been afraid that if something happened to me, I wouldn’t know where to go, what to do, or how much it would cost. To my great surprise, everything was organized for me, I received full medical support — and it was completely free. I am sincerely grateful to the whole team at Chelsea Emergency for their humanity, professionalism, and kindness.

We were seen and discharged in 2hrs total stay for our newborn on a week day around midday. The doctor was really nice, patient and explained everything and we left with no questions and without being rushed. Parking available at one level down.

Great Hospital. Competent doctors. No prejudice. They treated my 3 year old promptly. One of the best hospitals in London.

Thank you to the lovely man in reception for always being polite and kind. I've been to this A&E two times. Once for myself and once for a friend. Politeness in reception isn't usually the case with NHS staff, so I have to acknowledge it when I see it, and be grateful for it. Now, I'm giving 3 stars because the waiting time was 6+ hours, and the doctor who saw me didn't really help much. They also couldn't explain why I had certain symptoms and told me they didn't have specialised tools needed for my situation. Don't get me wrong, the doctor wanted to help, and they listened to me, but I don't know if they had the expertise to do so. Having said all this, I understand it's not the hospital's fault there is limited funding so they can't purchase everything they need, have specialists or have enough staff, so there's shorter waiting times. Edit: I noticed (as I've now been to this A&E times aplenty, due to myself being sick, but also friends) that the medical staff can be polite and accommodating, or rude and difficult, at times. They also do not seem to be trained on how to deal with patients with mental health conditions, or patients who are neurodivergent.

They are helpful but you will be waiting a few hours in total to have everything done. Good time to come is after 9am as shift change has happened and more staff are about. It is clean and the staff are good...
