Advertise disability facilities, was told on the phone that this place can accomodate my needs, however empty car park and wont allow a physically disabled visitor to park to allow access despite the car park being empty. Also high steps up to the door. Absolutely disgusting, zero reasonable adjustments made for disabilities. Could understand for every tom and harry, but upon provision of the circumstances you would expect some form of help and adjustments to be made. Highly discriminative!!

Of course, coming here was the last thing we wanted, but I have to say I’m genuinely impressed by the care I received from the team at BPAS Richmond. They truly helped make a difficult experience more bearable. I'm really grateful for the support when I needed it most.

It breaks my heart that I have to write this review but I hope that my experience can help anyone else that has been through or is going through a termination for medical reasons and is looking for some reassurance in somebody else’s story. I was originally booked in at another clinic (not bpas) and got very worried when I read some of their bad reviews, so I reached out to bpas and they were amazing. I know how important reviews are at times like this, so I really hope this can help. Starting with their phone call, even the tone of the ladies voice was reassuring. As I was terminating due to a fetal anomaly, they managed to fast track my surgical termination and got me in within 2 days (even over Easter) I arrived at the Richmond clinic and was told to go the waiting room, and was waiting for around 45 minutes before a nurse came to get me. Her name was Ciara and she was lovely. We had a little chat for a couple of minutes, just us 2 and then my partner was allowed to join. We went through everything, had a finger prick blood test and my blood pressure etc. I was then given the tablets that start the process. After this my partner and I were taken to our own room to relax for around 5 hours (usually 3 but they were a little delayed this day) this didn’t bother me. They came to get me for the procedure and the anaesthetist and surgeon were lovely and reassuring, and moments later I was asleep. I woke up in the recovery room with the most amazing midwives. I felt so safe and comfortable around them and they answered all the questions I had (and asked a million times as I think I was still partly asleep!) I will always be grateful for these ladies, this procedure was not easy for me as I mentioned this was a wanted pregnancy but unfortunately our baby was too poorly. They managed to get his hand and footprints for me as it was so important to me and I am honestly so grateful for that. The only thing I wish I could change, is for there to be a specific place for people terminating for medical reasons, hospital wasn’t an option as I was very scared of the labour induction option. This is not bpas fault and I am truly grateful for the care they gave me. I hope this reassures anyone that has to go through this terrible time. Sending love and thinking of you all. X

Absolutely amazing experience with absolutely amazing staff there to help through the entire procedure! Arrived late on the first date and was still treated amazingly and with so much respect and for that i am also incredibly thankful. Actual procedure the next day was done very quickly + was told in depth and with the most support what to expect and how to prepare with someone there to help the whole time! All the workers were amazing and sweet and calmed my nerves so much especially with my fear of needles. Fitted with an IUD after procedure and told what to expect going forwards upon discharge. Couldn’t thank the team at BPAS enough for the care, support, advice and attention that I was shown and treated with.

Hi, I want to thank the staff on the 21st and 22nd including the doctors who took care of me, because thanks to them I can walk more easily in life, excellent doctor, very communicative nurses and helped me a lot to overcome my fear, that is, a correct treatment and a happy ending without problems. Thank you very much, you are the best.

I came here 2 days ago for an abortion and travelled from Birmingham. As anyone else you have so much anxiety, emotion and feel distraught, from the moment I walked in I was made to feel at ease straight away. All throughout the waiting time, surgery & aftercare I was treated absolutely amazing, cannot fault anything, staff and so kind and compassionate. They talk you throughout everything and help with any questions, I was funded my train tickets and the hotel stay, amazing people cannot thank them enough.

I can’t thank you enough for making my abortion happened. I came from France for a late abortion. I thank you the reception for letting me come and wait for a potential « no-show » appointment, because I had only 2 days left. All the staff were just so nice, so human. Things were clearly explained. And all the staff (nurse and doctor) were very lovely, and really took care of me. Thank you a lot. You just saved my life.
