I couldn't see any clear signage leading to the Rosehill Clinic, when entering St Helier hospital, so had to ask for directions at main reception. Once at the Rosehill Clinic, I was forced by the receptionist to get my height, weight and blood pressure measured on the machine in the reception area, which felt dehumanising, like I was a heifer at a cattle market. This was before having an IUD inserted, which my doctor told me did not require any prior knowledge of my height and weight. I knew this, so stepped off of it, but the receptionist forced me to get back on it. Providing your weight at a medical appointment is not supposed to be forced, anyway. Being forced to do this brought back traumatic flashbacks from my childhood, during which I suffered an eating disorder due to bullying. There was a sign on the machine, which read, "If you don't want to know your weight, please tell the receptionist," but why should patients have to announce that, and why should I have to share my past trauma, within earshot of everyone in the waiting room? Not only that, but the ticket the machine spat out added 4 inches to my height and a stone to my weight, due to the footwear, clothes and coat I was wearing, as well as the bag I was carrying! This could have been very triggering to anyone with an eating disorder. The receptionist should ask, "Are you happy to have your height and weight measured?" I understand this is a requirement for hormonal contraception, but why are patients who aren't there for hormonal contraception being forced to do this, and why aren't self-concious patients given the option to have their height and weight measured more privately and with dignity in a consultation room? Not to mention, the doctor also took my blood pressure reading herself in the consultation room, so noe of that had been necessary! Rather than respecting my decision to step off of the machine, as I knew it was irrelevant to my appointment, the receptionist made a loud song and dance about it and spoke to me as though I lacked intelligence! Please could this experience for patients be improved, and for there to be more consideration for individual circumstances?

I recently visited the clinic. Lovely staff, they greet you with a big smile and create a nice calm and friendly environment. Of course, you will have to wait because the department is busy, but they are treating you professionally. Congratulations to the team for providing such an excellent service.

The consultant I saw a couple of weeks ago did not wash her hands, simply put on disposable gloves for intimate exam. I had itching, pelvic pain and problems afterwards. I wonder if it was because of how it was carried out? I saw another consultant again was very happy with their service. With thorough hand hygiene. However, I still am experiencing a lot of itching down there which I didn't have before. I would advice ladies especially who are not sexually active to avoid intimate examinations if possible. You can request self test if you are comfortable.

The nurse who saw me called Jennifer was absolutely brilliant, friendly, understanding and very sweet. I went as a walk in at 9am and left at 11am with everyone done on that visit. Very friendly staff

I had such a wonderful experience at this clinic!! Awesome and friendly reception team! And then I met with nurse Angela!! She was incredible!! I felt comfortable at all times and she was super caring, patient, and gentle! I have learned a lot during my visit and felt really understood and heard. Angela took her time and didn’t rush me. She is a wonderful woman and it is more than obvious how much she loves her job and her patients. Thank you for treating me with so much kindness and respect!!

A very lovely reception team, very good sign of staff teamwork to support an individual patient with attention to every detail.

I had a concerned that is urgent. I submitted a self referral form. I received a call a week after that a nurse would call me for a telephone consultation. Another week past, I received a text to inform me that my telephone consultation would be on the following week. On that following week, I missed the Rosehill Clinic’s phone call because I was at work. I called the clinic the day after and they informed me that since I missed my appointment, I have to do another self referral and be on the waiting list again. I told them the reason for my referral and that it is urgent. I also would not require a consultation but an appointment for the procedure. They informed me that I will be on the waiting list. I didn’t bother wasting more time waiting for this clinic to even call me. I managed to book an appointment in St Mary’s Hospital. My urgent concern were addressed within 2 days. I received a call from Rosehill 3 weeks after, but by that time my concerned last long been addressed. Extremely disappointing service from Rosehill Clinic.

I was shocked reading the previous comments! The treatment I received today was of very high standards, required high skills and Leonie was just incredible. Felt very much at ease and not rushed a single bit. They do have to ask you questions but if you are educated enough around the subject it makes very clear sense. It is for our safety and information. The place needs updating but the luck of cosmetic outlay doesn’t compromise the high standards treatment. Thank you for being so caring and kind.

Had the worst possible experience at the Rosehill Clinic. If you plan to get a contraceptive implant fitted, I do not recommend this place. The nurse asked me extremely weird out of the script questions about my private life and partners country of origin, totally uncomfortable and UNRELATED to getting my contraceptive method. She did not call me by my correct name and kept on calling me about 5 different names in the 20 minutes we’ve (with my partner) spent there. She rushed the procedure and continued to investigate our relationship and asked very unnecessary and private questions and made us both extremely uncomfortable. You do not ask sensitive, private questions. Do not recommend this for black or brown people. Their staff will make you feel freaked out. I left shaken by the experience and will definitely NOT come back there to get my implant removed in 3 years.
