   Absolutely let down by this surgery as a repeat prescription that’s imperative has been missed 3-4 times now. Already made a formal complaint and things improved for a couple of weeks. My own father is a respected and experienced GP and encouraged me to call and ask for the practice manager who was unsurprisingly unavailable I recorded the phone call from an overbearing and unsympathetic receptionist as evidence after being hung up on. I no longer have trust in this surgery or it’s doctors and feel I we will be moving to a more competent, sympathetic and supportive doctors surgery. It’s not what it once was since dr Elliot left years ago and it’s been going downhill ever since. I’ve recorded the phone calls including with the pharmacy who are just as shocked at the incompetence also showing my compliance and being polite and I feel I will be taking this further

   Can’t speak for all the receptionists here because some are genuinely nice & polite but there is one or two that are extremely rude! I called up as I was worried about my weight dropping when one of the receptionists started making jokes about it, something along the lines of “well we can’t have it all can we?” And “we can’t all be happy”. I felt extremely embarrassed & insulted by this! I also suffer with anxiety so this made me feel very uncomfortable!! As a receptionist of a GP centre, you should be ashamed of yourself!!

   Absolutely terrible since registering, called 4 times before I was able to book a postnatal checkup as you cannot book it in at reception and someone needs to call you back. Turned out my baby wasn’t registered even though I submitted mine and the baby’s form at the same time (only found out third call) and I had to resubmit a new form. By the 4th call the earliest appointments available are after he turned 9 weeks. Also called up to get a separate baby appointment and only available via telephone. Not really suitable for a newborn baby. Unfortunately missed the call but the dr left a message to say they would call back in a few minutes. It’s been 2hrs since that missed call so lost hope really! Don’t come here if you’ve just had a baby - don’t need the added stress to be honest!

   I am autistic and highly averse to any medical settings/situations, I have not seen a doctor for many years as it takes a lot for me to even call for an appointment, so to be treated like a time-waster by the receptionist when I called today is absolutely abysmal, she was much more interested in giving her own amateur diagnosis over the phone than helping me arrange an appointment to see a doctor at Belmont. Seeing the other reviews on here it is clear the receptionist is a problem and let's face it, if you work here you probably know very well who the problem is. She should be put on some sort of customer service course (as that is literally her entire job, facilitating appointments, not acting as a goalkeeper between patients and their doctors) and should be taught that some people will react very negatively to being talked to that way, I'm now just going to wait to hopefully get better soon, a habit I was attempting to pull myself out of after many years.

   A great surgery. They always do their best to fit you in and the receptionists are always lovely. I recently saw Dr Moore. He was amazing, I didn’t feel rushed, I felt listened to and felt like he genuinely cares about his job. We need more doctors like him! Also all the female doctors I have seen are great and Dr Croucher.

   The very young sounding receptionist has a very soft quiet voice. I had trouble hearing her on telephone. She also had to put me on hold for a long time to ask someone else what to do. Call costs me money. Not a free number

   The receptionists are vile people,the doctors are useless dealing with elderly patients. This practice is not fit for purpose. We the community are being ripped off. If you get past the horrible receptionists,then good luck with the doctors. I've lived under this practice for many years ,and this is the worst I've seen.

   I moved and joined The Grove Road Practice. I was there for two weeks before I ended up having to leave as the service was appalling. I’ve had a completely different experience with Belmont already. The receptionists are so nice. I was gutted I had to leave my very first GP but the fact Belmont are so good makes it better now!
