Cannot thank the entire Barnard team enough for the excellent care that I and my family have received. Dismayed by some of the previous reviews. Having been registered at another practice in Sidcup people really don’t know how lucky they are.

Service is getting worse new system of booking appointments on line is like you are ordering some commodity on line instead of getting appointments through receptionist as before. Recently visit to the surgery looked empty what next?

Being able to speak to the GP by the NHS app and explain my problems is a real plus. I have had prompt responses and my issues were dealt with quickly. The receptionists have always been polite and helpful to me. I noted how helpful they were to a number of patients and went out there way to help them resolve their problem by getting further advice from other people in the surgery

I was asked to provide a sample and told to return it next day. Like most people I work so I asked what time they opened until. Doctor said 6.30pm. Website says 6.30pm. Google says 6.30pm. This is all a lie! I drove over after work to drop it off. It was just turning 6 o'clock. The whole place is locked up and dead! So now I have completely wasted doing the sample and my time. I've lived all around the country and this truly is one of the worst surgeries I've ever known. Getting an appointment is a nightmare. Checking in when you arrive is a nightmare. Often only one receptionist yakking on the phone. I've stood and waited 15 minutes before just to check in. Why not have a computer you can check in like a lot of places?! They fail to take proper notes. Fail to contact you. Failed to sign prescription properly before sending to Aspire. It is constantly one mistake after another. I have been chronically sick for 2 years and no one seems to help or take you seriously if you are a woman. The amount of times I've been asked if I'm just stressed or put on weight. Before this I was a healthy, fit 30 year old with no health issues. I'm a size 10. I wasn't stressed until I got sick and honestly this doctor's surgery makes everything 10 times worse. If you want help, solutions or your life back - this is not the place to help that happen. I don't know who runs this place or where the money goes but it's not on caring for or about patients.

This was my first time visiting this practice, I called and was able to get an appointment the same afternoon, however I can’t say if this is typical or not. The doctor I saw, Dr. Waheed (apologies if spelt incorrectly) was excellent, took the time to explain everything clearly and laid out treatment options. All in all a positive experience.

I have been a patient here for a number of years the service has rapidly declined. On two occasions I have needed an appointment and was told the wait is over three weeks! Separately I have called before 11am on a Saturday, I got an answerphone message stating they are closed despite the same answerphone message stating they are open to 12. Overall, very difficult to access their sevices.

I don't often go to doctor but when needed I found it hard to Evan see a doctor. Thay tell me to ring at 8 in the morning to see the duty doctor that's if there is any spaces left . What happened to everyday doctors , why can you not just walk in and get to a doctor when it's very important. But no you have ring in the morning and that's it and if all spaces have goneits the same next day it's not right and not fair especially people with mental health reasons and need to be seen . I also rang one morning I sat and waited for 40min with some voice recorder saying you are 2nd in line , 40 min plus I was still waiting not good enough?

I have been at this doctors all my life and I have never been satisfied with the duty of care I have received but today made me very angry with the staff in reception. I called today regarding my tablets that had been taken off my repeat prescription and I explained they have been taken off for no reason. I also explained about how I only have enough for 1 more day and I need these tablets and she told me to go through patient access. I then explained to her further that I don’t have this set up and she told me I have to call at 8am tomorrow but I told her I’m unable to as I start work at 8am so I can’t. She furthermore told me there was nothing she could do for me. I am now completely stuck as I don’t have any of my tablets that I have to take daily. Overall, the reception staff aren’t the best. They say about they don’t tolerate abuse when they are talking rudely to you and not wanting to help you. I have to give a positive to one lady who is very kind and will try her best to always do what she can for you and is very polite.

A nightmare of a practice. Start calling before 8am for an appointment, and by 8:30am the phone is finally answered and all appointments have gone. In one 35 minute period, I called 120 times. The GPs and Nurses are lovely and try their best under the circumstances, but the Reception staff are atrocious. Nine times out of ten, they're smoking outside. It puts me off booking an appointment.

I received a threatening e mail from you about abusive behaviour addressed to me.why when I have had no contact with your surgery. I visited the surgery for an explanation. I asked the receptionist why I had received the message and she said it was generic although it clearly was addressed to me.Your receptionist was extremely rude saying that I was being aggressive now. I wasn't I just required an explanation. Seems to me that every time u question anything to do with your conduct you say that people are being rude.Asking for an explanation is not being rude it is my right.Your receptionist is always curt and I think the lady in question is half your problem and why you receive such bad reviews.May I suggest you monitor your receptionist s and if they need people training then they get it as everyone cannot be wrong.i read your reviews and most complain about your staffs attitude.
