I am really happy with this surgery. Dr Thusidaran Yoganathan is one of the best GPs I have ever had. He gives you time, listens, explains and is caring. Mrs Umbreen Shafan, Patient Welfare Manager is an angel. Her kind smile, empathy and efficieny is un-matched. You feel better just by talking to her. She always does what she can to help. I am so grateful that my family and I have been happy patients here for many years. I am truly thankful to all the staff, especially Dr Thusidaran Yoganathan and Mrs Umbreen Shafan.

Fantastic doctor’s surgery. I feel my concerns are not taken lightly and I am taken very well care of. Reception staff are incredibly helpful and professional. I’m very happy with the services offered and ease of access to e-consult which gets fast responses.

Had an appointment with Thusidaran (Dr), today at the Abbey Medical Centre, He was extremely polite and inspired me to do my part in taking care of my health. He is such a credit to the surgery, kind and caring and so positive.

I have recently joined Abbey Medical Centre and I am incredibly happy with the service I have received so far. The reception staff are proactive and eager to help. I was seen by Shadia at my most recent consultation and left feeling very reassured about my medical care. She was thorough and took the time to explain my treatment plan with great care. Thank you to the entire team for looking after your patients so well.

Really appreciate receptionist Saiyma ( not sure spelling right or not) efforts there. She is always willing to help, friendly and patient. She always tries to make sure that appointments are booked smoothly and patients feel welcomed. Thank you for all that you do!

Finally a functional GP! I had a nightmare for years with absolutely atrocious London GPs, with my last one (King Edwards Medical Centre) leaving me feeling completely unsafe health wise, while it was quite a way away from me I decided to give Abbey medical Centre a go. In about two weeks with them I've received better support than I had in two years from my previous GP, physicals booked, appointments sorted fairly quickly, referrals around long-running health issues booked etc Genuinely blown away, but how much this feels like the NHS a few years ago for the massive drop in quality/capacity.

Extremely rude reception staff. They are only nice to people from their country who speak their language. Very discriminatory. I complained to the manager he said there’s nothing he can do about it & that I should find another Gp. Doctors are never on time no matter how early you book. No point being early or even on time to your booked appointment. I’ve had about 10 appointments with them since I joined and the minimum amount of time I’ve waited has been 45 minutes. Imagine the maximum…..

I am registered with Abbey medical centre since feb-22. Recently, i have been going through some heath issues and was able to get the appointments on the same day many times. Though i could not get much help in treatment from surgery as my case was typical and i was referred to specialist. But during the course of my treatment with specialist, staff was really helpful if i need any help in terms of past reports or any administrative help. Some of the key names i know from surgery who are really supportive were dr Ahmed(left surgery now), dr Gupta, staff Saima and Shadia, all of these heave helped me and are helping when and then required.

I have been on the phone for half an hour waiting for someone to pick up the phone. Then, they picked up and immediately hang up. I called the medical centre again and was waiting another half an hour to get a help from the reception. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t be able to provide me a basic information! If you check your reviews there was a suggestion few months ago to provide a better training to your staff. However, I couldn’t see any changes or you are still considering? For how long? They even don’t know how to use phonetic alphabet, just basic things! I had my blood test three weeks ago, still waiting someone to get in touch with me. Poor customer service, very poor!

I question how this practice is still open. Not only do they provide 0 appointments unless you call at 8am - in which they take 2 hours to answer & no longer have any. But the receptionists in particularly are extremely unprofessional, rude & do not care. The practice manager has no regard at all & the locum GPs are just as horrible. There are doctors more qualified who have more regard for their patients than this practice. I do not pride myself in posting negative reviews, however, I have suffered a lot of health issues this year & not once has this practice helped. I get more support from the GO hub service & 111. Which is very sad. As the GP is primary care. It is obvious they do not want to put the work in, they do not want to give appointments. I called up desperate for an appointment because of my mental health & the receptionist simply shut me down with no regard. I pray none of these employees suffer from MH or their family, as it is clear they need EXTREME training in etiquette. I see the surgery responds to every review here critically & all I will say is - I have never seen a practice with 2 stars on Google. Reflect on why your reviews are bad and improve. That’s what a medical professional who truly cares about its patients would do. Do better.
