Took me 20mins to be able to talk to the receptionist and was then told cardiologists are upstairs. At which point I was 5 mins late to my appointment and she threatened to not see me. The floor signs don't show that Horrendous place and staff, if you can change your appointment from here do it
I went to the Polyclinic as had suspected DVT after an operation. The best thing about the place is the triage nurse. Was seen almost immediately. Nothing else is good. Unfriendly receptionist. I was told that there were only 4 people in front of me and 2 hours later, after seeing more than 4 go in front of me, I gave up especially when I found out they don’t do bloods there which is crazy! I always am so thankful for a good service. But this place is a waste of time. I will never return. Went to Queen’s after and was seen within 30 minutes! I will go there in future.
Visited last night. It looked virtually empty when I arrived. Waited one and a half hours with four in front of me the last taking less than five minutes. Soon after arrival saw, assessor, then a nurse, two jobs could be done by one person, both just asking questions. To the point, didnt show empathy at all, could have been in Tescos, actually no, they are very friendly and caring in Tescos. During that time a very young child arrived about three years, with the most appalling cough I have heard on a child with a sister about six also coughing, I felt sure they would be seen before me, were sent away to Queens with a appointment to see a doctor, because the doctor here didnt have time to see them. The mother said but there is still two hours to go, she could see there were only a few people there. I am I am sure the mothers will make a complaint because she did complain and was told not to complain and go. The doctor was lovely and dealt with my complaint, hence the three stars.
Arrived 8.05 Saturday morning, triaged within 20 minutes despite being 14th in the queue. Treated foot wound within 25 minutes, the staff were extremely efficient and polite. All done in around an hour. Thank you NHS, 10 stars if I could!! To add, I have subsequently visited twice more and received the same exemplary treatment for my scalded foot on both occasions. The last time I was in and out within 50 minutes. Maybe if a few more people like myself who have received brilliant treatment took the time to leave a review it might help to redress the balance of those who leave poor reviews without knowing the circumstances for delays and roles of the staff there. As a man in my 80's I'm grateful to live in this country and to be able to walk into an NHS care facility, without appointment, on my doorstep and receive this quality of care. 10 stars once again and my foot is getting better! Shame on you complainers!! Thank you once again NHS.
As Bad as can be and even more if it’s possible. Stay here for 2.5 hours now , the stuff on reception are great , the lady in triage great - no one wait for more than 15 minutes and that’s it . The rest is : One of the but r saw 1 repeat ONE patient and other one 4 ( one of the patients she saw probably was her friend of family ) Now I’m here waiting to see nurse and wonder how they feel - walking around with hand in the pockets . Absolutely disgraceful.
My experience was good. I came in on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 pm. Registered and waited for about 45 mins to be seen by a doctor, then waited another 15 mins to get the prescriptions. The staff were friendly, the doctor was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable and explained well what I might have. Lots of parking available, overall a good clinic.
Terrible place. Waited today with my baby for over 3 hours without being seen. 111 told me to go to this place "for an appointment at 4pm". No appointments as it's a walk in centre! After 3 hours I went to receptionist to ask how much longer and told my baby was at the bottom of their list and he would be seen some time before they closed at 10pm. Insane. How can a baby sit there for 6 hours?
I wish i could give zero stars, this clinic is a disgrace to the NHS, it was very well staffed at the counter with 4 members of staff, all of which have zero patient care, in a nutshell i was told to take my child there by 111 only to be told at 6.30pm that i shouldnt have come and 111 were in the wrong. My child is very ill. This clinic blames 111, and 111 blames clinc, to be honest I dont care who is at fault. My child is sooo ill thanks to lack of care fron the NHS clinic, a complete disgrace and they should all be ashamed of themselves. But they dont care....
Waited 4 hours to be seen for 2 minutes by a doctor to prescribe antibiotics to my son for a chest infection. Not many people in front of us, yet when a patient was seen and left the doctor would wait 40 minutes before calling the next patient. Bizarre. The receptionist "couldn't say" where in the qué we were ( at this point we were next...) Absolute waste of tax payers money, for the premises, staff, and doctors
We went there for an xray for my daughter who is one and they checked us in in the Reception and gave us blue card. However, after waiting for nearly 2 hours we were told that they don't take xrays for kids under 5 and we were asked to go queens instead. Which again made us to travel and start waiting from the scratch for more than 3 hours !! You would think the staff should know simple things like this before booking but unfortunately they don't. Please check couple of times with different staffs before starting to wait.
