Neglectful is the most polite word I can use for this GP service. Do not register here. There are some very kind individuals who work here, nurses and the receptionist at Mill Road in particular. However, i thought clinicians and GP's are bound by a duty of care? Not at Riverside. They literally abandon patients with no treatment plan or referral to anyone who can help. This surgery refused to treat my mother at the request of her consultant and told me it was because she had sought help from a private doctor. I explained this was because the GP at Riverside turned her away 3 months ago saying he could not help her. I begged. They said it was their discretion to treat her and refused. I left this surgery years ago because they added medical notes to my record to say I had suffered breast cancer. I had not. When I raised this with the surgery, the Practice Manager argued with me that I had had a breast removed. I think I would remember that don't you! Shocking that this surgery is allowed to practice. They leave people to suffer. Please do yourself and your loved ones a favour and avoid like the plague.

Worst doctors I've ever been to and I've moved around the country a lot and been to a lot of doctors this one is the worst by a absolute long shot terrible service terrible reception always closed literally the shutter is always down. The doctors are useless and it's incredibly hard to get a appointment that you don't have to wait for weeks to be seen. My last appointment I had to wait 3 weeks. I also asked for a appointment to discuss my medication and dosage and raised concerns on how to ng the appointment would take and they sent me a email for repeat prescription without an appointment to discuss my dosage and my worry. I filled out the email prescription anyways as needed more medication. I never got a email back and the prescription never got sent to the pharmacy. I stopped my tablets because I couldn't be bothered with the hassle. Only mental health went down hill im now back in another tablet and the online system won't let me book and appointment for some reason and I have half a tablet left back at square one once again. This doctors is incredibly and unbelievably shockingly bad avoid

During my visit to Riverside Surgery - Pier Road Branch on (19/11/24). The encounter left me feeling disrespected, humiliated, and deeply disheartened as a patient with a disability. Upon arriving for my blood test appointment, my husband waited at the reception desk for at least 10 minutes to check me in, as I have reduced mobility and rely on support. Despite his visible presence, the receptionist appeared to ignore him completely, typing on her computer and pretending not to notice. Frustrated by the lack of acknowledgement and aware of my limited mobility, I attempted to use the self-check-in kiosk. Unfortunately, the system did not recognize my appointment. With no other option, I approached the receptionist myself, using my walking stick. Astonishingly, she again acted as if I were invisible, further ignoring me. It was only when another patient arrived and casually leaned on the reception desk that the receptionist finally paid attention. After addressing this other patient, I informed her that I had a blood test appointment. She responded by asking for my blood test form, which I explained I had been told was not required when the appointment was booked. Instead of resolving the matter professionally, the receptionist insisted I needed the form, stating I could not have my blood specimen taken without it. She knew all along that she needed to print the form for me and booked me in. —a task that should have been completed without such unnecessary delays or stress. The entire interaction felt like a deliberate run-around, wasting my time and energy. The way I was treated—ignored, dismissed, and forced to endure repeated explanations—was deeply dehumanising. I felt humiliated, as though my disability and needs were being overlooked or trivialised. By the end of the ordeal, I was holding back tears, questioning why I was subjected to such an experience in a place where I should have felt cared for and respected. This incident reflects an unacceptable standard of customer service, particularly for patients with disabilities who may already face significant challenges accessing healthcare.

Where do I start? If I could give these people half a star I would. My partner has been in agony for the past two weeks. She was told to get a blood test which she’s done two weeks ago but still waiting on the results…. She has been getting passed on from doctor to doctor and all of them are saying different things. She’s been told that she’s been prescribed something she shouldn’t have according to one of their own doctor. She had a telephone appointment couple days ago which was completely pointless her questions were not answered and they made no effort to reassure her in any sort. She was then told that another doctor will call her this morning (Monday 6th March) and no one has made any effort to communicate with her in any sort of way to give her an update. This is an absolute joke! Very poor customer service and communication from all members of staff. I am going to make sure I do everything to escalate this complaint and have this looked into further. I WOULDN’T recommend this GP practice to anyone!!

This place can’t get any worse. Telephone system is more focused on silencing disgruntled patients than fixing up the staff. Been “caller number 1” for 20 minutes. Scheduled a call back before and had the phone cut off on me despite me politely asking to hold on whilst I find somewhere private to speak which only takes 15 seconds. Our healthcare system is so finished. It’s reflecting in the demotivated lazy staff. Only a few are alright. The rest like to rush and be patronising on the phone.

Shocking doctors had a telephone consultation booked regarding my teenage sisters mental health and they just send a text saying they have tried to call 3 times but no calls or missed calls so basically lying! .. I also rang up regarding my 3 year old asking if they had an appointment for him and was abruptly told no nothing for over a week .. what with strep a going around this is worrying! As they didn’t even ask what it was regarding!

Got an appointment for my husband same day i rang For future requests I suggest people order prescription 2 weeks in advance . Told 3 working days we'll both of us waited a week and then had to put in another request as half of my husband's request had NOT been sent to the pharmacy. What is going on? I will in future be ordering 2 weeks in advance to make sure we get our medication before tablets run out. Also have time to request missing medication before we run out. Terrible prescription service and seems chaotic and sloppy to say the least. What is going on?????
