I was seen in 2019 by Farishta Jalal through open forwards. I am afraid to say I was misdiagnosed and treated with EMDR for the wrong thing, which actually caused me trauma. I appreciate mistakes happen but this one had a heavy cost. Please don't be afraid to seek a second opinion if you are seeing someone and it doesn't feel right.

I have been working with Adil from Openforwards for more than 12 months now, and it is the best decision I have made in a long time. Even though I didn't really feel I 'needed' to see anyone for my mental health, I have benefitted a lot from my sessions. I would recommend this to anyone who want to take their mental well-being more seriously; just like going to the gym.

Jim supervises my private practice as a CBT and ACT Therapist. The supervision has taught me to bring more sensitive and experiential learning to my work with clients. Also more precision in terms of working with processes of change and acceptance. I have seen a major shift in how clients learn and understand their difficulties as a result. I would highly recommend him as a supervisor

Jim was my clinical supervisor for 3 years and I highly recommend him for his skills, experience and knowledge which have been invaluable in my own clinical development. If you want more than ticking the clinical supervision box and want to focus on development and honing of your skills with a supervisor who is on top of the evolving evidence base then you should have a chat with Jim.

Definitely recommended. Jim has helped me immeasurably over the years with his approach. I have the tools now to manage in life without the need of therapy.

  3. Brian Pope ★★★★★

Jim has been my clinical supervisor for several years now. He has an unusual understanding of current clinical practice and the context within which it is evolving. This allows for effective supervision, whilst encouraging and supporting therapeutic and business growth. I have no hesitation in recommending Jim as a Clinical Supervisor.

I have known Jim professionally for over 15 years and the last 5 years or so we have provided peer supervision covering all aspects of clinical work and service development. Jim is a well experienced and excellent reflective practitioner whose focus always remains with person centered care. His development work within training others has earned him a well deserved reputation that will lead on to new horizons in psychological therapies.
