Having recently had cause to use the listening centre i have to say what an invaluable service they provide. Going into my sessions with a nothing to lose attitude i left with a fantastic perspective of what they deliver and would throughly recommend the listening centre to everyone who needs this kind of service. Nicola has been an incredible support through a very difficult time due to my health. Leading up to major surgery I was in a very delicate state, and before the first session I felt that I wouldn't open up enough to get the help I needed... I was embarrassed. Nicola's calmness, compassion, kindness, genuine care... was exceptional. It is hard to come across as genuine on a phone call, but Nicola made me feel like we were sitting on a sofa with a cuppa and talking it through. I am strong at reflection but I wasn't pushed to do this until a couple of sessions in, I was too emotional. Nicola let me talk, be in the moment and be quiet when I needed to be. She knew when I was ready and set goals and reflections for me to work through. I really appreciated this. It has been transformational learning experience but not once did Nicola allow the lesson to be harsh or hard to take, and that has remained with me. On every call, through every conversation, Nicola showed me the compassion I should be showing myself - what a lesson to have - thank you! An outstanding professional and an absolute credit to your team and company!
I had been suffering with deep depression which was with me for over 12 years. I had reached rock bottom through various losses and a life changing illness. My life had become so bad that I was no longer living. Thanks to this wonderful company, I am on the road to recovery. My councillor was a true professional who helped me to understand my personal issues and was supportive from the beginning to the very end. Through her guidance, I have managed to start the rebuilding process and the last few weeks have been the best period I have had in over a decade. I feel re-energised and looking forward to my future. I am also going to undertake training to be able to consul others. I thank you all for your support and assistance. AB
I have to say the service from initial review though to the counsellor was 1st class. Clear understanding of what will happen and also on identifying an appropriate counsellor, what to do if there is not the right connection, (not that I needed to change). can’t fault the service and would 100% recommend. Thank you to the whole team, end to end.
I undertook the DIY EAP training with Sharon over 10 weeks towards the end of 2022. The information that she shared was truly valuable. Sharon has a wealth of experience and knowledge and by god she shared it all. I left every session with my brain and notepad full. Nothing was off limits, and unlike a lot of training that can often be cryptic and you can still feel lost, Sharon provided lots of resources and answered every question. The training was worth every penny and every second. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Sharon and her team again. Thank you very much.
I found myself in a very dark place .. I was lost. I was offered help with a referral to the Listening Centre.. that's when my life changed. With there support and reffereal to an amazing therapist .. I turned my life around. They are so professional, keep you updated with appointment times etc .. and they guide you through with a comfoting hand I would highly recommend this organisation..
I was referred by work to TLC, they were very quick in responding. I was quickly triaged and put in touch with a mental health practitioner whom met my needs throughout - initially phone calls were better but then I felt ready for video calls. The availability of my counsellor was impeccable and I found they were very accommodating to any changing needs. I felt I was listened to, respected and there wasn’t any judgements. Overall, my experience was great and I was signed off counselling feeling confident, able to continue forward and I have skills I will be keeping forever to keep myself mentally well. I highly recommend The Listening Centre.
Have used this Service recently as was referred from work. The Therapist was amazing very caring considerate and knowledgeable. Without her help I would not be in the good place I am at the moment. I would definitely recommend, Thank you so much Listening Service for all of your help.
I found the listening centre to be the right level of support for me. I have spoken to 2 therapists, and both were so helpful and supportive. I have been able to attend somewhere local to me, and was able to have 2 -6 weeks between each session, which suited me perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, should I feel like I needed too
