Absolutely unbelievable experience. I stopped at Donnington Manor Hotel two days in a row just to charge my car, not even for an hour, and ended up with two separate £100 ParkingEye fines. £200 in fines for doing nothing except using the EV chargers ON THEIR PROPERTY. Why would anyone assume you have to go to reception just to charge your vehicle for 30–40 minutes? It makes absolutely no sense. If this is the policy, it should be displayed clearly at the chargers — not hidden in some tiny sign somewhere nobody sees. After looking at the reviews, it turns out this isn’t a one-off mistake. Loads of people have been caught out by this trap. And honestly, it feels like a trap — the kind of setup where you only find out the rule after you’ve already been hit with a fine. I’ve already had to pay the charges because ParkingEye doesn’t care, but I’m leaving this review so others don’t get stung the same way. If you’re an EV driver of ANY kind: avoid this place completely unless you enjoy surprise fines and fighting with parking companies. Charging your car shouldn’t cost £200. Extremely disappointed and will never return.

A beautiful and quiet hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is easy to find, and the way it's displayed is beautiful. Quick customer service. They do themed escape rooms which I took part in, and they're really enjoyable. £25 & good value for money. Rooms are pristine and spacious.

I went for the escape room here, so I can’t comment on the hotel, but the game experience was terrific. Amazing, complex and interesting puzzles, not requiring too much, but interactive and engaging. Our host was a lovely man named Deep, and the whole vibe was amazing

Can't say much for/against the actual hotel facilities, but attended a seminar here and got a £100 parking fine. I arrived early, entered the car park and found a space but didn't rush to pay and display (fully intended to) but then found that the rates were a bit extortionate. Wasn't sure if parking was complimentary for genuine Visitors, so went to ask at reception - where there was a massive queue (and my appointment was due), so decided to just move my car and park on the main road. Received the fine 2 weeks later and contacted the hotel to ask if they would intercede (or better yet cancel the charge) but heard nothing from them. Unimpressed to say the least. All could have been avoided with clearer better signage explaining what Guests and Visitors should do upon arrival - looking at all the reviews by these poor Tesla drivers; it seems the same is true for them as well.

Spent 3 nights for boyfriends birthday. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are really nice, spacious, modern and clean. The restaurant is a little bit small but the food is great. The only downside is that the restaurant is abit under staffed, the restaurant is always quite busy at dinner time and we waited 30 minutes before the waiter came to take our drinks and food order. But I would still recommend this hotel.

Absolutely lovely. Small beautiful old hotel. Grounds kept well. Whole place maintained well. Staff attentive. Good choice of food for breakfast. Evening dining..food was tasty full plate. Bar area relaxing. Bedroom clean. Plenty of toiletries shower cap etc. Soundproof room and the bed is comfy not like a brick! Would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff and a nice hotel break. Rooms were away from bar and restaurant so was quiet and peaceful. Food was good in the restaurant with portion sizes that tried and succeeded in defeating us. Parking was easy but you do need to register the car, but that is the same as most hotels nowadays. Rooms were modest but comfortable. Air conditioning was fully adjustable which was good.

Beware if your Tesla brings you here to supercharge. We charged there for 30 minutes in our rental car and received a £100 fine for parking there for 30 minutes (in the middle of the night, no less). There are no signs indicating this so it’s impossible to know unless you’ve already been hit with a fine.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was quite accommodating to a late check in. The ambience was very inviting. The rooms were very modern for a hotel that looked very vintage from outside. The bed was comfortable and there was options of streaming from YouTube or Netflix which I found great. I wished, the rooms had a fridge though. Breakfast was buffet styled and was OK, however, there was no staff around to ask for other hot options. I would definitely come back here soon.
