As sometime who was diagnosed in their 50's as being AuDHD, who also has a formal diagnosis of Generalised Anxiety Disorder, I have found life to be hard, sometimes unbearably hard. For decades I tried to find the right therapist. And then I found Dr. Abigail. I actually waited a year until she had a vacancy as that's how good I knew she would be. Since then, my life has changed significantly for the better and I feel this at almost DNA level. I don't know how else to describe the shift in me, how I now experience life and physiologically how much better equipped I am. Dr. Abigail has studied extensively all over the world, in different clinical modalities and she has worked with people from many different cultural backgrounds, in both clinical and in private settings. Knowing that she has this type of depth and breadth of experience and knowing that she has attained consultant level was important to me, as it demonstrated to me that she would be capable of agility when dealing with my complex issues. From our very 1st session, I sensed that Dr. Abigail was unconcerned with her own ego, something that I felt was always brought into sessions with other therapists in the past. She was only concerned with me. Dr Abigail understands me, helps me, holds and supports me when times are hard. She genuinely cares. When we first started our sessions (6-7 years ago), Dr Abigail was consulting from one room. Slowly and very carefully she started to broaden her practice, making it possible for more people to be seen by her carefully selected therapists, therapists that she knew would approach their sessions with the same level of care and dignity that she does. Thank you Dr Abigail, for sticking with me and for creating space for other people like me to be seen in your practice. Malvern is a very lucky place indeed!

I contacted Dr. Abigail Malvern Hills Private Practice for help with mu son due to school based trauma resulting in high level’s of anxiety. I would like to thank the practice for the professional and friendly help they gave my son. who was able through the EMDR treatment he had to feel safer to attend school and progress to college. The weekly sessions helped my son understand himself and learn ways to manage his anxiety. They also helped my son come to terms with his ADHD diagnosis. I would recommend.

We cannot recommend this psychology practice highly enough. From the moment we first contacted them, the whole experience has been seamless and supportive. The therapist working with my daughter was not only incredibly professional and skilled but also genuinely friendly and approachable. She created a safe, welcoming space where my daughter felt heard and understood, and the progress she has made has been truly life-changing. Seeing her overcome her anxiety and gain confidence has given our whole family a new lease of life. The practice itself is beautiful, calm, and thoughtfully designed, which immediately puts you at ease. The team was always easy to communicate with, flexible, and accommodating, making appointments simple and stress-free. Every interaction we had, from the receptionist to the therapist, was warm, caring, and professional. We are so grateful for the incredible care, support, and guidance we received here. If you’re looking for a psychology practice that truly makes a difference, this is it. Thank you!

What a disaster! I stupidly decided to trust this organisation with my teenage daughter, who suffers from anxiety. My daughter was allocated a therapist called Claire who wasn’t qualified to deliver the treatment that we were promised. Claire misled us to believe that she would be providing EMDR therapy despite not being trained to do so. As a result, treatment had to come to an abrupt halt and my daughter was left without a therapist. When I bought the matter up with the practice owner Abigail, she promised to make things right by finding me another therapist within her practice. This promise was broken when after eight weeks of waiting, I was told that the new therapist they had in mind wouldn’t be able to help. Funny that the practice manager has no desire to put the error right, especially after I escalated my complaint with her. I’ve asked for a face to face meeting twice and have been told she has other commitments. When I made an official complaint in writing most of the issues I raised were ignored. After complaining for three months about the treatment my daughter had received, I was offered a mere couple of hundred pounds as compensation. To this point I had almost spent £1500 and was no further forward. Excluding the financial impacts it has had on our family, the emotional side is worse. My daughter can’t understand why her therapist would spend time gaining her trust and building up her hopes and expectations in getting better when all the time she would have known that the therapy she was offering couldn’t have been completed. Claire and Malvern Hills Private Practice have made my daughter’s condition far worse than it was. She finds it hard to trust and confide in any new potential therapist because of the experience she has had from these unprofessionals. As a parent with a child who suffers from mental health issues, there’s nothing worse than seeing your child tormenting themselves with self doubt, it’s really hard to watch. The daily struggle and sleepless nights lead you to desperation, looking to ease your child’s pain. I spent hours on the internet hoping to find someone that could help, I can’t begin to express the regret I have in trusting this company who really are only interested in helping themselves. They take payment from your card details without your knowledge, storing your payment details on their system without getting consent, ignore emails and don’t follow through on what they promise. Interestingly the final session my daughter had with Claire was mostly spent talking about the fee increase due to the company not paying their VAT bill. Im not sure how much truth is in this but they do seem very keen to take lump sum payments. If you’re looking for a professional and trustworthy therapist for your child you won’t find it here. I’d stay well clear - for your own sanity!
