The way they work comes across like a huge scam to lure people in. They will tell you that you have been approved before they’ve even passed on any of your details to their employers underwriters! And then may cancel at any time after claiming you’ve been approved. They cancelled my application after telling me I was approved and forcing me to make arrangements to come in for a face to face meeting in the middle of the working day and didn’t even have the decency to let me know this wouldn’t be going ahead until 10 minutes before the meeting. They know they are running a huge sham as when I asked the manager to comment on how flawed the approval process was she continuously refused to give any opinion on company policies and kept repeating this like some sort of robot stuck on loop unable to form a single thought of her own. It literally felt like talking to a machine completely unable to empathize with you. She even went on to then say oh customers like the convenience of an immediate appointment. There was nothing convenient about this to me at all as i wasn’t given any time options and was told I must come in immediately as part of their process. I think what customers would really prefer is being told honest and accurate information!!! This response about convenience is a slap in the face. What’s convenient about being told to drop everything to come in for a meeting to then be told not to just before that meetings taking place. The responses were truly baffling, defensive and really displayed how inept the team at the Birmingham branch is at the basics of communication. Most disappointingly the responses from the manager were cold and l could tell they weren’t even trying to help. This is exactly how people act when they know they’re running a scam. Company culture seems to be to prop each other up and cover each others tracks internally at a huge cost to customers. When I said it’s clear you’re not trying to help me and we’re getting nowhere on the call with the manager she was more than happy to end the call. No apology, no effort to try and no effort to even show she had even considered the point of the call in the first place which was to help a potential customer. The rest of the people I spoke to whilst I had issues with them I can’t say they had a foul or combative attitude on the phone and all seemed like they actually wanted to help until I spoke to the branch manager. She defiantly needs some lessons in how to talk to customers or was trying to project authority over the shop floor (I know they’re all sat next to each other because they forgot to put me on hold and I could hear them all talking about me!!) . To summarize foul attitude and in particular the manager was awful to deal with and was more concerned with looking strong and being defensive then trying to help a customer.

Manager of the Birmingham branch has a major attitude problem and refuses to admit when she’s or the staff below her have done wrong. Letting your own arrogance and pride in the way of apologizing to customers for your teams mess up is pretty disgusting really. acting high and mighty when you’re earning the median salary in this country just because you’re taking to people who need financial help really isn’t a good look on anyone

Birmingham Branch staff extremely incompetent. manager has no clue what she’s doing and thinks it being a Monday and having couple people on annual leave is adequate excuse for major faults in the application process. (They approved me and told me to come in at 1 o clock and then called me back at 12.55 to say I’d been rejected) also acts like a complete robot who is unable to offer any empathy when the company she’s representing on the phone has messed a customer around in a major way. Simply asked her if she could see how being told by evlo to come in at 1 to sign off on my application and then being told at 12.55 that my application wasn’t going ahead was ridiculous and instead of just apologizing she began to come out with a long list of reasons why she thinks this is okay. “Well we’re short on staff and busy because it’s a monday” was the official reasoning I got for being messed about on something so delicate as a personal loan after being told I’d been approved and then having that reneged due to having a stocks and shares account. She also stated she refused to give any opinion on how flawed the application process is (they tell customers they’re approved and to come in and sign off before an underwriter has actually signed off on the loan) not sure how this isn’t fraudulent or at the very least a scummy and dishonest way to do business and try to hook customers. Prior to this was messed around by reps on the phone who can’t work the hold button and I could hear them literally insinuating I was lying about something on the other end (which I have email proof that I’m not) and I don’t believe I got so much as an adequate apology for any of this . When i asked why I’d just been called a liar i was told oh no that’s not what was Said. Entire company feels like a big sham ran by incompetent people who have no idea how to think outside of the script they clearly have to follow for phone calls. Also theyll take all your data including ID and ask loads of personal questions and gain full access to all your banking activity info before coming up with an excuse not to approve you. Feels like a scam to gather people’s data and then find an excuse last minute. Do Not Trust everyone at every single level was incompetent and I had to push them at every stage on my own sir as there were several points in the application process with alternative solutions none of them bothered to talk to me about until pushed by me.

I would advise everyone to avoid these types of loans because the annual interest rate is disgusting. When I first called, I wanted to apply only for £1000 but was pressured into agreeing to a £6000 loan for debt consolidation. Debt consolidation loans can work but only if you get them at a lower interest rate than you’re paying on credit cards and if you don’t run up your credit cards again. I was incredibly naive to agree to this loan as the 78% interest rate meant that after paying £320 each month for 6 months, the loan amount didn’t decrease. This makes it pointless to try and get out of debt because my debt only increased. I ended up reconsolidating the loan through another company because I just couldn’t afford the interest rate anymore. I’m more financially smart now and know to avoid these kinds of financial predators. Just avoid at all costs.

Avoid this company at all costs Spent the last few days getting everything to them via back and forth email and phone calls , to be told that I’d passed all of their affordability, and credit checks and somebody will ring me to finish up the application. I get a phone call today to say that they won’t be able to offer me a loan due to not meeting the affordability criteria, despite being assured id passed them. Absolute waste of time. If I could give them less than a 1 star rating, it still wouldn’t be low enough. Time wasters…

Do not go, interest on hallucinatory interest, instead of scaling, increase, absurd. You never end up paying your debt. Never seen such a thing.
