We really enjoyed it here. Near to train that takes you to waterloo, ample shops right outside, tesco, m&s, grocery stores etc etc. Agent really helpful and responds quickly to any issues.

Do not move into the View. The building uses District heating so every apartment has a HIU (Heating Interface Unit). This is how hot water is provided for your taps and the Underfloor Heating. The problem with this heating system is you cannot change the supplier and they can charge whatever they want. The supplier is Data Energy who are really expensive. They charge you commercial rates despite you being residential. I suspect Data Energy treat the whole building as a commercial entity since the Building was originally an office headquarters for Chubb. They play a dirty tactic where after 6 months of staying the tariffs start increasing. I suspect they know that due to your tenancy agreement you cannot break it after 6 months and just move out. During my stay the Building Management kept changing every year. The apartments are like greenhouses during the summer time due to the glass windows. You cannot open the windows fully and there are no balconies. This is why the apartments use Samsung AC units which are not cheap to run. The lifts broke down occasionally due to the destructive behaviour of some of the residents or visitors. The area itself is dodgy and run down. Lots of “unemployed behaviour” going around. There is a group of guys who hang around outside the building at night drinking alcohol and smoking weed. This does not happen all the time though. The public transportation is not cheap or great to get into London. If you need to get to work really early in the morning then good luck. This whole is area is ideally for people who own cars. The View is nothing but a trap for multiple entities to squeeze all your money.

1. No management service was received. Not responding to any emails. They lure you in and pretend to be nice at the beginning, but they are the worst people. 2. Worst security. My parcel worthy of 200 pounds was stolen and the management group told me they can't check the security camera. One time I saw a sleeping bag in the lobby. Insane.3. There is one man who is a Racist. Hang up my phone and laugh at my English. 4. They are taking my deposit and refuse to return any of it but my apartment remained in the best condition when I returned. Not a single hair can be found on the carpet cuz I cleaned up twice at the end. 5. the heating is broken, the door bar is broken, even the air cons do not work (both in the living room and in the bedroom), it is freaking HOT during summer. They pretend to send someone over to check, but the air con never works. 6. PLEASE DO NOT THINK ABOUT MOVING IN HERE, EVER!

Do not let the stunning interior persuade you to rent a flat in this building. The positives; The flat interior is stunning. The view is incredible. Close to local shops and train station. The negatives; The letting agents will be nice to you whilst they get you into the flat. On check out, they take weeks to send the check out report and do not respond promptly to emails. The building management company do not respond to emails so it takes weeks to get important issues sorted. They will ignore you. They will only contact you when they need you to help them with their job. The lifts started breaking down weekly and tenants were getting stuck inside. The cleaners do not clean the communal hallways. There was a plaster on the floor when I moved in and its still there 3 years later. The windows do not open more than an inch. There is no air flow. The flats are boiling hot most of the year. The communal heating is on constantly. They set their own tariff so be prepared to pay several hundreds to over a thousand pound per 3 months for heating and hot water. The landlord/company are unfair and greedy. They will take as much as they can from your deposit even when you have evidence to prove their claims are false. I've always rented with landlords that own minimal properties - they're more personable and treat you like a human being. I will never rent from a bigger landlord/company again after living here. 100% do not recommend renting a flat at The View.
