Very impressed, it's been a while since I attended a gig in Chester and the live rooms didn't disappoint, sound was great and easy enough to get a spot at the barrier. Only slight criticism is that the lighting over the merch stand meant it was difficult to assess quite how hot pink the t-shirt I was purchasing was, thankfully I was not disappointed when I got it home

My first time at the Live Rooms in Chester. Nice sized place (ie not too big) to see name artists (as well as up-and-coming acts, I'm sure). It's actually two separate rooms with a stage and bar in each. Easy enough to get served at the bar (very important at my age!). Drinks prices about average for a music venue, but at least they had a good choice of beer on tap. Lots of parking options nearby, some of which are free. I would go back (very high praise from me!)

Great gig from The Commoners. Poor sound yet again an issue with the Live Rooms. Shame, as its a lovely venue with friendly staff. Maybe it's the shape of the performance space.

Seen hayseed Dixie here a few times Top venue for live music. Keep bringing great acts to intimate venue. Awesome. Great staff quick turnaround at bars. Keep up by the good work

Great venue. Perfect size for close up intimate gigs. Across road from train station so easy to get to. Friendly staff. Definitely will go again.

Went to see Kate Bush Ka, a tribute act obviously, but a great band. Never been disappointed by any band we've see at the Live Rooms. Easy access venue, Very good and helpful staff. Drinks always easy to get and either room you get good visibility of the bands, but then I'm 6'2". If you're a little shorter and stood behind me.. sorry.

Great venue 5 mins walk from Chester Station ,ideal for last train back to Liverpool! Hi-on Maiden were excellent not a massive venue, maybe 500 capacity or more. Actually had hand pulled bitter on tap and only £4.50 a pint, think it was £4.70 for shipyard. Good sound will definitely go again. worth buying tickets in advance as it's cheaper than paying on the door!

  2. Adie Garden ★★★☆☆

Small intimate venue but don't expect clean, tidy and modern, think dated youth club and you'll not be disappointed. That being said the prices at the bar aren't youth club with a wine, Guinness and Pepsi setting you back the best part of £14 and the house white is..... Erm... Not very nice but the atmosphere is fun and relaxed and being close to the performers is unusual
