Excellent place , friendly staff and brilliant training, The actual training room itself could be larger and much more practical for doing the actual practical side of calm Training.
After 27 years of caring for my daughter, they have decided they can't meet her needs. Seems a long time to come to this conclusion . My daughter is autistic , that is supposed to be their speciality.
I would not recommend Sutherland House School, Nottingham (part of Autism East Midlands) as, in my opinion this independent school is more interested in money than teaching autistic children. Twice this school had been paid for periods of time when my son was not at school, second time my son was excluded from school for months after he made an allegation against a teacher there but instead of the teacher being suspended/ moved to another position, my son was EXCLUDED from school. At SENDIST (Education tribunal) I stated Sutherland school was not suitable for my sons needs but my Education Authority placed him in the school regardless at £44000 fee per annum. Avoid this school, commence an ABA/VB (Applied behaviour Analysis/Verbal behaviour) program instead. Wish I could leave a no star rating.
