I was with a group of friends for an evening out and we were really disappointed with the poor service, unimpressive food, and a pitcher of long Island iced tea that only tasted of coke and lemon. Will definitely be giving this place a miss in the future. A real shame as used to enjoy going to watch the bands here

Very disappointed. came in on the Sunday and had a fantastic drinks with my wife (whitewalker cocktail) revisited the next day ordered the same drink but one if not two of the main ingredients of Baileys and amaretto missed out of the drink and was given two glasses of froth. Staff were all to busy chatting at the bar so we decided to leave.

Such great potential, but absolutely appalling service in such desperate circumstances. I visited the 'Church Bar' for some drinks, to which myself and 3 friends waited for roughly 30 minutes to be seated. When we entered, we entered track and trace, and were taken to our table. The table was obviously not cleaned between us and the previous guests as there was dirt and empty sauce sachets. We then patiently waited for 15 minutes for a drinks order, which gave us the opportunity to observe what was going on around us. Absolutely NO social distancing between tables, with groups of more than 6 (breaking the law), staff not wearing masks properly or at all and no sanitisation. When we were (finally) served, the waiter took his mask off, no more than 1 foot away from our faces. The guests were allowed to run riot, mixing between tables, and not observing any of the rules that we have waited so long to be able to follow. Given the hardship of everyone over the last year and all of the closures, I would expect more from a lovely venue. Had no choice but to leave after a very uncomfortable experience. Myself and my friends are not usually complainers, but this needs to be addressed.

Very disappointing. Food was very obviously warmed up in microwave and chicken that came with he tacos was the ready cooked packet stuff you get in supermarkets just heated up. No staff members wearing masks so felt very unsafe as they handle your food, cutlery and drinks. We were ignored as they thought we were there for just drinks even though we had a reservation and were sat upstairs in the "restaurant". We won't return.

(Visited May 2019) My friends and I came here before the theatre as they accept tastecard! For a starter, I got the Grilled Black Pudding which was very enjoyable- luxury restaurant quality- although it was a shame the piece of black pudding was a bit on the thin side. I wish I ordered this as a main because the buttermilk chicken was a let-down. The portion of Cajun fries was very generous, but there was barely any meat and what was there looked and tasted bland. My friend’s cheesy bacon fries consisted of big lumps of tasteless cheese and anaemic pieces of bacon, sadly. Our soft drinks were also rather expensive. Overall, the food here isn’t really worth going out of the way for, so I’m even more glad it was discounted.
