An extremely friendly pub with one of the nicest bar women, showed us around the place and gave us some history of the place. A great bar in an idealic location, will definitely visit again.

We've been visiting the Lyceum for some time now as a keen but not particularly good snooker enthusiasts - the prices are great and the staff are awesome friendly and always up for a laugh. We attended one Saturday and there was a function on, the place was rammed and it seems like a great place to have a party plus the beer is a very reasonable too. I'd most certainly recommend it here for a party, game of snooker or pool or even to watch the match, they have pretty much all games on....... Even Everton but I'd suggest a Red bull vodka to keep yourself awake for that one
Came for an "Evening with...." event. Nice old place with historical interest. The function room itself was a good size with plenty of tables. Nice to see a decent alcohol free beer option and prices were decent. Not sure if the food was arranged by the Lyceum or the event organisers but the chicken curry was fine, vegetarians, however, were stuck with a plate of rice. There was quite a bit of noise coming through from the bar area which made it a little difficult hearing when sat at the back
The staff were friendly, and the price were also very reasonable .... BUT attended a function in the large hall part of the venue and it was so cold even I felt it!! And to be honest that spoilt the night. Can't comment on the ladies, but the gents toilets that although clean had certainly seen better days and could do with an upgrade
