Jenny and the team at St Bride's helped us to have a truly wonderful celebration following the Service of Thanksgiving for our daughter's birth. Catering was delicious, and just the right level of "fancy vs. casual." The space was clean, enormous, and kept at a lovely temperature. Jenny went absolutely above and beyond to deliver for our special day with family and friends. Thank you!

I heartely recommend Syncopation in Bridewell Theatre. It is brilliant. I really enjoyed the excellent show. Outstanding performance, amazing life music. 150 minutes (includes interval). This play is about two individuals coming together looking for that special connection and the feeling that there must be something more to life. ,,Allan Knee's award winning 2 hander play starring Devon-Elise Johnson and Jye Frasca. 1912 New York and ballroom dancing halls are filled with the syncopated beats of ragtime music. Meatpacker Henry is seeking a new dance partner and when seamstress Anna responds to his advertisement, life takes an unexpected turn. Allan Knee’s award winning two-person drama is a fascinating blend of theatre, music and dance. Written by: Allan Knee Presented by: Manilla Street Productions Directed by: Karen Jemison This premiere production features West-End and Broadway performers Devon-Elise Johnson (Half a Sixpence, Mamma Mia, Titanic), and Jye Frasca (Wicked, Jersey Boys, Mary Poppins), choreography by Strictly Come Dancing’s Jenny Thomas and a live band under the musical direction of Fiz Shapur."

Lovely theatre. You can notice that staff working there is passionate about their work and they visibly enjoy their time. 4 stars for no ventilation in the bar.

Love this small theatre and bar in the city

Every time I’ve been here the staff have been incredible friendly. The bar has quite a lot of seats for a small area. Drinks are decent price for a theatre bar with a simple selection. The whole building is very damp, with the bar area smelling particularly strongly of mould. The theatre itself can be very cold - I wore a coat for the whole performance in November, and wasn’t the only one. Seat numbers are easy to identify, and are straightforward foldable chairs. Don’t turn up late - I imagine it’d be incredibly embarrassing as there is only an aisle exit… Saw an accessible lift, not sure how straightforward this would be for wheelchair users and didn’t see anyone in the bar area who uses a wheelchair. Overall, decent place to see friends perform and I’ll definitely be back, but wish it didn’t smell so strongly and were a bit warmer in autumn/winter.

Saw "The Producers" and oh my, what a show! The venue itself is quite compact, but it fits an unexpectedly large audience. The only drawback is that the chairs have an "open back" and since there's not much space between rows, you may end up with someone's shoes hitting your back (happened to me). Nice bar downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised with a beautifully printed programme for just £1.
