It’s not Christmas until you’re made a visit to Thameside Theatre. So thankful this place was saved from housing development !! A huge part of my childhood and now of the children in my family’s too. I have seen brilliant pantos and adult pantos year on year. As well as some brilliant performances from am dram groups. I can’t wait for my next visit

Nice enough little theatre that looks very shabby indeed from the outside but the interior is fine and the service at the small bar was polite and efficient and the drinks were decent prices.

Mixed review, I have seen 2 performances here and they have both been fantastic, due to the size of the venue it has a really lovely atmosphere. The down side is, I needed to raise a complaint about a member of staff because of their discriminatory behaviour towards my disabled son. It left quite a bitter feeling to be honest, the response I had from the venue didnt really make me feel like any changes were going to be made or that the behaviour had been addressed.

Just got back from a lovely evening of the pantomime. Words can’t describe how funny the cast were tonight. Had me and my wife in floods of laughter. The Dame was fantastic and his side kick muddles. Really well kept when they went off script. Definitely a 10/10 a watch to go and see. Only a hand full of shows to go this year. The singing in the show was fantastic. I will definitely be booking for Christmas 2025. The theatre is on the 3rd floor so if you are not great on your feet there is a lift which will take you to the top floor.

Saw a wonderful performance of an amazing musical by the brilliant amateur dramatic society TOPS. A host of excellent individual and ensemble portrayals in the peculiarly British musical "Betty Blue Eyes". And performed in a fast disappearing peculiarly British venue - a proper local theatre, arts and community resource. This is entertainment worth "getting off your bottom" for! Go and support it before it's lost forever.

Good theatre, the staff were friendly and helpful, was there to watch beauty and the beast excellent pantomime the whole family loved it. The theatre itself was a good size, good location, with library and exhibition down stair which the local can go and visit. I just hope they don't knock it down and turn it to a flats.

Dec 2022, superb pantomime, great comedy for adults and young children. Lovely Theatre too, not too big so nice and intimate so you really feel like part of the show. Get there before this season's run finishes! We will 100% be back for next year's panto!

I've had tickets for the weekend show with good seats. We were unwell, so contacted the theatre as per their policy on the website to change tickets. Not only that they asked for additional payment regardless of me having fully paid tickets for the weekend show but the manager was not polite nor understanding. After the long argument we were offered the weekday (not weekend that we paid for) tickets for evening show at the back row and the refund is not an option. If you are considerate of other people wellbeing and trying to prevent the spread of illness ahead of Xmas, forget it as the theatre management does not. The worst customer service experience!!!!
