Unfortunately, the opera that we saw was awful, although the performers were excellent. It was very hot inside the auditorium during the performance, which made it feel very uncomfortable, especially when you have dressed up for the occasion. Unbelievably overpriced tea/coffee and the smallest slices of cake imaginable! Very unlikely to return and will focus on Glyndebourne instead.

Had the chance to see the outside on a recent walk and heard them rehearsing which was a bonus. Fascinating story ....I look forward to a future visit to an opera or a ballet.

Absolutely charming setting for the first rate summer opera season. Beautiful gardens in bloom, garden furniture, gazebos, marquees with a great deal of space for pre performance aperitifs and dining during the 90 minute interval. I recommend to bring your own picnic and wine as prices are quite hefty if buying from the caterers. It's a quintessentially English summer experience. Dress to impress and enjoy the top class opera productions and performances.

A really special day! A lovely venue with charming gardens. Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly beautifully dressed people. Exceptionally friendly staff. The theatre is designed so well, that one can see the stage from any seat. The performance was of a high quality. Food in the restaurant was excellent, we had fish as the main course. Even the rain didn’t spoil it for us. Though we would normally have a picnic rather than eat in the restaurant. If you come early enough, there are some chairs and tables in the garden, provided by the venue…It helps, especially if the grass is damp, so one can seat on a chair rather than a picnic blanket. Highly recommend!

We were due to attend Grange Park during the 'Lost Season' of 2020, so three years later and we were delighted to see Tosca on a beautiful Saturday evening. I loved the grounds, far more natural than some opera festivals, with lots of interesting spaces to enjoy your picnic, relaxed was definitely the vibe for the evening. We went for the Grange vegetarian picnic and bottle of sparkling and although not cheap, both were excellent quality. The performance was of of course first rate with all the leads on top form. Walking back to the car through the quiet grounds was a nice way to end the evening.

Such a beautiful place. I have been to an arts and crafts fair in the main house which has been beautifully developed to make this a wonderful venue for all sorts events. But the real gem is the stunning architecturally designed opera house with its surrounding picnic lawns and thoughtful planting. I will be booking more tickets to support the charity that runs this wonderful place

Opening night for Don Carlos. This was our third visit to GPO and once again, a delight. Our son was visiting from America and what a treat he had----the music, the atmosphere in and out of the opera house and our picnic in the gardens. A stunning atmospheric production. Every season gets better and better. Thank you.

Had a wonderful evening last night at the Opening Night of Don Carlos, directed by my very talented daughter Jo Davies. I am so proud of her. The music and singing were amazing, even the weather was lovely for our grand picnic in the interval. A night to remember xx

An stunningly beautiful place. The building and grounds were outstanding made all the better because of the lovely weather currently. I saw the world premiere of Pushkin opera which was extremely good with very strong voices and impressive cast.
