This is the second Forest School session I have sent my 7 year old daughter to and she raves about it. So much so that two of her school friends are joining her this time!

Just got back from a one day course entitled Managing a Small Woodland. The course consisted of a small group of 5 of us with 2 instructors. Whether you own a small woodland or (like me) want to, it's perfect. We had a quick brief outline of the day, introductions, then out into the woods for real instruction. Bring your own lunch, then back out into the larger wood for more information, hints and tricks before a final debrief and question session. It is very obvious that Rod not only knows his stuff, but the experience he's gained over the last 35 years of managing and building his woodland is second to none. The information they impart in their courses is done in a simple but effective way. The site is enormous, some 50 acres with a very cosy welcome. They offer a range of courses including family events and have a campsite too. Highly recommended.
