   Horrible place, keeps alive animals in cages. Crickets and insects die in small plastic boxes.

   Service is gr8 on shopping side as far as vets side I feel as waiting room was on shop floor and they allow pets to go round with owners and the shelves end where the waiting area begins, so talking to receptionist is waste of time as I can’t hear them properly (I am Deaf so I ask my brother to come in with me couple of times & he says he struggles to communicate with them and he doesn’t have any problems with his hearing, so feel justified in what I said) I also felt slightly uncomfortable especially because the shelves are mainly products for all u can need for any type of dogs so if they have brought there dog my dog is very difficult to keep calm and then trying to get to see vets it makes me feel very uncomfortable and I don’t feel like it’s been a productive experience and I always feel like I either not got what I need or have not been able to get best service for my dog and it’s just the worst feeling ever especially when it’s not cheap if I have to pay for something that my dog needs

   Extremely disappointed to be told they wouldn’t sell a hamster 10 minutes before closing time. We returned home earlier in the day to find our 29 month old hamster had passed away. So we cleaned, dried and put fresh bedding in the cage ready for a new guest, setting off on our 15 minute journey to the store in plenty of time. We arrived, looked at the hamsters and queued for 5 minutes, only to be told by the lad on the till that they wouldn’t sell my tearful child a hamster so close to closing time. Surely if the store is open and the tills are still selling, they can muster up the effort to sell a hamster. I explained that we had lost our previous hamster earlier in the day but received absolutely no compassion from the staff in store. Extremely disappointed and will not be shopping at Pets at Home again.

   We took our little shitzu here once to have her bum glands squeezed to pop them out as our normal vet was on holiday and she couldn't wait....what a big mistake this was ..we took her in and 30 mins later she came out (should have been about 10 mins max) and as soon as we got home we looked as she was bleeding and to my horror there was a 2 inch open cut right next to her bum hole .it was so deep and open I can't describe it.lucky my vet was back afew days later so I took her straight in and he was horrified that she had been butchered with a gapping wound and it took 4 stiches to close it and the glands also was done.my vet then tried to email them to get her records sent over but they totally ignored him and even wen I went in they just fobbed me off ..PKEASE DONT TRUST THESE PEAPLE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET .they need closing down .THEY BUTCHERED MY LITTLE DOG FOR NO REASON THEN IGNORED THE REQUEST FOR THE VISIT..YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

   The store is offering a big variety of pet food, accessories and pet beds and cages. There's a big variety of pet treats as well. Also in store is veterinary practice Vets4Pets, which is very handy. The staff is always very polite and welcoming. They always remind me to check if there are offers or vouchers to use as I am a Pet club member.

   Excellent. The staff are lovely and the vet is very kind and gentle. My Peaches always pops her legs up on the counter waiting for the treats they always give her. We have a vet plan which cuts the cost so would recommend it as it includes all her worm and flea tablets plus as many claw clips as she needs.

   Bit ridiculous, could give a zero of I could. Arrived to the shop with the intention to buy the fish- the girl that checked my information said she will NOT sell me the fish if i live more than 15 minutes away from the shop as this is their policy.!!!! So my question is , does evey Pets at home have different policy as I never had any issues and this is something new to me? But what I really think has happen, she just couldn't be arsed to dig in the aquarium as it was 25 minutes to closing time. Expecially that all 3 of them where debating which one should deal with aquarium. No I will never buy from this shop.

   Really nice shop. All the animals were clean and looked really healthy. Had an extensive list of items to buy and managed to get all but one item (that was out of stock). Staff very pleasant, the young lady that served us was very polite and friendly. Definitely one of their better branches.
