Superbly organised shop and the animals are well looked after. They didn’t have what i was looking for but had a good range of options for people new to the reptile hobby. I feel the owner could have been a little more helpful when we were browsing but they did still offer a little advice and help.
Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, patient the list of attributes goes on and on! We were lucky to be given a royal python and enclosure, but quickly realised he needed a bigger home. The guys at Snakes n Adders were so unbelievably helpful. Lots of advice on what to get, what to do and Chaz even drew me a plan of how the tank needs to be layed out. My daughter now has everything she needs to look after Ludo properly, and we'll definitely be using only these guys in the future. Absolutely fantastic service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our daughter really wanted a pet snake but both me and my partner have zero experience keeping reptiles. Snakes 'N' Adders was recommended to us by a friend to get advice and see if reptile keeping would be right for us. The SnA team have been so welcoming and friendly, answering all of our questions and helping us get set up with all the right kit we needed. Chaz recommended a brilliant alternative beginner snake species and gave us so much fantastic advice about them. This place is amazing. Took my 4 year old daughter here after nursery promised her that an animal handling experience was going to bring a tarantula for her to see/hold and unsurprisingly did not. She was so disappointed to have not seen them as she is obsessed with spiders so a friend recommended a trip here. We've now been a few times to look at the tarantulas in stock. The staff are so friendly, so welcoming and so knowledgeable. We've loved learning more about tarantulas, and it's helping us understand what we might need to one day have one at home. Can't recommend the place enough, so glad we found them and my daughter would be there every day if she could.
I have been following Snakes N Adders on Facebook for a while and was keen to visit the shop despite it being a good few hours drive away. We combined the journey with some other shops but this was definitely one of our favourite places on the trip. The shop is way smaller than I expected but they definitely pack things in and they have some impressive animals in some equally impressive enclosures. The animals are clearly well looked after and they all had clean homes with clean water dishes. Our dog was welcomed too. The woman working was great, really friendly and knowledgeable and probably best of all, in no way pushy when it came to sales. If I lived closer I would definitely be a regular and if you are looking for a reptile, or just some advice, then you should definitely pay Snakes N Adders a visit.

Great shop really helpful and friendly staff. They were really helpful answering all the questions we had and making sure we had the correct equipment before allowing us to purchase our geckos. Can't recommend them enough.
Absolutely fantastic place. Me and my fiance travelled down from Newcastle to see the amazing animals that were in stock. Staff were welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It was definitely worth the trip and I would recommend it to anyone.
Great shop and excellent staff. Visited the shop today to get my daughter her first tortoise, the shop had everything we need and more. The member of staff who looked after us “chaz”couldn’t do enough to help. He spoke to my daughter as it was her pet and made sure she knew everything she needed to know to look at it. Overall a great experience and we’ll definitely be back.
