This is a beautiful cottage. Stunning inside. Top of the range equipment and well stocked with thoughtful touches (we spent Christmas there and the tree was wow). Very private even though it's close to the manor house (which really is amazing to look at). Extremely comfortable beds. I've knocked a star off because the outside light wasn't working (which was an essential as it was so dark). When we arrived it was stone cold, no heating on, freezing cold and rather uninviting. It took ages for it to warm up. The heater wasn't working in the main bedroom but the oil radiator was a suitable replacement, it would have been nice to have that pointed out as we spent ages trying to program a broken wall heater. The entrance is very cold, drafty from the enchanting but unwieldy door and the toilet seat was broken. There was nowhere to put the ash from the wood fire, which is a bit of a safety issue and it wasn't readily stocked as detailed in the description. Final minor point, the kitchen really needs some tongs! We would have put this in the housekeeping book but if there was one we never found it, despite the info saying there was one. It was lovely but these issues meant we couldn't, in all honesty, describe it as luxury. Shame, because if you address these then we'd have given it 5 stars.

We stayed at Mynydd Ednyfed in Criccieth for my 60th Birthday. There was 14 Adults/2 Children/2 Dogs. What can I say, the house was beautiful and in the most amazing location. There was so much space and the conservatory and play room where a brilliant addition. The house was cosy and clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The kitchen was beautiful and had every piece of equipment you could ever need. The hosts Maureen and Ardwell where very friendly and hospitality. If we needed anything they were there to sort it out. I booked this trip through Boltholes and Hideaways Ltd as I had used them several times before. They are very professional company and everything always runs smoothly with no issues. Thanks Kerry Corrigan

The house couldn’t be in a better location, amazing views over the dunes to the sea. The area has a few lovely cafes, one hotel and a few shops. The actual house in our opinion is in need of maintenance. We had several issues on arrival which were dealt with really well by the letting agency, their help was fantastic. The main bedroom has a very comfy superking bed. The RAF base provides entertainment if you like jets. The next bedroom has a comfy king size bed and enjoys views to the sea. The shower room is lovely with an amazing shower. The second bathroom has a bath with shower over. The bed linen was a nice quality. The duvet in the second bedroom was very badly stained with what looked like coffee. That was a shame as it could have been washed. Towels were all a nice size. The lounge area is very big, however, as oldies we found the settee very low and in honesty looked a bit tatty. The coal fire in the lounge is lovely. The lounge enjoys fabulous views over the garden to the dunes. The tv was a good sized and Netflix was readily available, Wi-Fi seemed hit and Miss. Kitchen is well equipped, although we thought there was a shortage of actual storage space. Good sized fridge/freezer. Plus an additional fridge which was useful. Cooker and hob really good. The front garden was a bit tatty. The decking when wet was really treacherous you needed to be careful. Useful back garden which seemed to be fully enclosed to us. Nice little welcome pack. Down stairs loo also serves as a very handy drying room! We enjoyed our pre Christmas stay and although we had awful weather the house was always warm. We had organised a big shop delivery which was ideal as there isn’t really anywhere in the village to buy fresh meat etc. Plenty of lovely beaches nearby.

Stayed at Seaforth in Rhosneigr. Do not judge the cottage from initial view when you arrive. Once you open the door you walk into a massive kitchen, dining area with plenty of seating space. The best is yet to come when you enter the large sitting room with plenty of couches and views over the beach, dunes and RAF Valley. Master bedroom has same views. Beach is a minutes walk or you can take the route through the dunes if you go the otherway. Dog friendly and our Retriever loved it, could not keep her off the beach. We will use again.

We were a party of three adults staying at 9 Rose Hill, Beaumaris, on Anglesey for 6 nights in mid-October. The property is a beautifully renovated terraced house next to the historic Beaumaris Gaol and within a couple of minutes walk to the High Street, sea front and Beaumaris Castle. We were very impressed with the stylish decor and comfy furnishings and the high-tech facilities in the house which made for a very comfortable stay. The location was brilliant, not just for local services but also for getting around the island and nearby parts of the mainland such as the stunning Ogwen valley and mountains. Despite its central location the house was amazingly quiet so getting a good night's sleep was no problem. Because we were visiting outside the main holiday season, on-street parking was easy, and we were always able to find a convenient space nearby during our stay.

The musty smell hit me as soon as I opened the door. There were dampness and mould marks on the walls. No heat source in kitchen. I have bad asthma and the condition of the property effected my breathing throughout my stay. I took photos and contacted Boltholes & Hideaways after the trip. They phoned me [even though I had asked specifically for email communication] and were abrupt and lacked empathy. They didn't apologise or take any responsibility. In short, they said because I didn't mention it as soon as I arrived they couldn't help. I checked in after hours on a Friday evening. Their office was shut, I had no phone signal in remote Wales and there was no way of contecting them!!!! They wouldn't listen and just spoke over me. Awful considering what they charge! This property should never have been on the market in that condition.

I have just spent a few wonderful days at 3 Pant Y Celyn. Cathy let me know that the cottage was ready & I arrived to find a chilled bottle of wine, milk & welsh cakes - perfect. The cottage was spotless & has lovely bed linen & towels. It is extremely quiet & peaceful, great for a relaxing holiday. I spent a lovely day walking from the cottage to Penmon Point, having lunch at the Pilot cafe. I look forward to returning for another stay. Thank you Cathy & Rick

Avoid this company at all costs. They have zero Customer Service and are not helpful in the slightest should anything go wrong. We booked a holiday over a year ago and paid a £150 deposit which is high considering the whole holiday was only £400. But as we have never ever had to cancel anything before we thought it would be fine. Very soon after we unfortunately did have to cancel, and it really was a short time but they would not even consider a partial refund. As the time is getting closer to when we should have gone I thought rather than lose this large amount maybe my parents could go instead. So enquired to be told, sure but that would cost £45!!! I mean seriously how much money do they want to fleece off the same person. In all my years of using holiday companies, I have NEVER encountered anyone like this. They just want your money and move on to the next sale. EDIT: following on from the companies response to my review, it just highlights their excellent customer service. Rather than try and help they just throw T&C's at you and blame you for not taking out extra insurance. I asked for help due to the unfortunate circumstances around the cancellation but as you can tell this company just doesn't care. They had 9 months to resell the dates. Other companies try and help even though they have T&C's...these just don't care, don't want to know after they have taken your money.

Wonderful stay at Plas Elyn, which is absolutely gorgeous and had plenty of space for our multi-gen family of 6. We loved watching the garden wildlife including daily breakfast-time visits from a red squirrel! It is a bird-watcher’s paradise. Lots of toys, games and equipment to help our toddler safe and engaged. Brilliantly equipped kitchen, and we also made use of the pizza oven provided. Lovely spaces to sit and relax both inside and out, with marvellous sea and mountain views. Appreciated the powerful fans provided for the attic bedrooms in the recent hot spell; the downstairs rooms are very well insulated due to thick stone walls, which was great.

Stayed at Anchor Cottage with my mother and little dog at the end of June and I have got to say that after over a decade of self catering in houses throughout the UK, this lovely property is probably one of our best yet! Fantastic location, a 5-10min stroll to the harbour, excellent little patio space for our pooch with outdoor furniture, and fantasticly clean & well equipped rooms. I can't say enough about the place other that it has made me fall in love with Anglesey.
