My partner and I recently used Steels for the purchase of our first house. Heather was our solicitor and she was absolutely brilliant! It was a long process from start to finish that took about 9 months due to it being an old house we were buying and the sellers, along with their solicitor, becoming progressively more difficult as everything moved along. However, Heather stayed on top of it all, making sure progress was always made without having to be chased. She quite literally took care of it all which made the process so much less stressful than it could have been. She provided regular updates via email and phone and offered excellent advice when we needed it. I honestly couldn't fault Heather and the rest of the Steels team and would highly recommend them. We will definitely be using Steels again in the future.

I used Steels to do the conveyancing to buy my first place. I found Carla in the Warrington branch to be extremely competant and helpful. The sale turned out to be quite tricky in a few ways, mostly down to the other parties involved, and Carla kept on top of it every step of the way and provided prompt, regular updates on the progress. Carla was also very happy to talk me through everything multiple times as I had no experience in buying houses at that time. 5/5 would absolutely recommend and will be working with Carla again in the future.
I phoned Steels in Stockton Heath to ask for a price for conveyancing and a pleasant but extremely inexperienced sounding person said there was no one there to help, so I left my number. No one called back, so I phoned them again after 24 hours, but they weren't taking on any new clients and suggested their Warrington office. So I phoned the Warrington office and got put through to an answer service. Left my number and no one called back (again). I'm not sure how good they are at conveyancing, but hopefully better than at returning calls..!!
I used the Stocktonheath solicitors regarding a probate matter. Even though the staff are friendly I am sorry to say that the quality of service was unprofessional, lots of mistakes in the paperwork that I had to point out on quite a number of occasions. For the amount paid for their service i really was extremely disappointed and expected more from a company of their stature. I definitely would not recommend Steels Solicitors.
