I've recently completed on my first home and used Forster Dean for my conveyancing. I don't think the process could have been any easier. I got a few quotes and Forster Dean was the cheapest. From the initial instruction to completion I was kept up to date throughout the whole process with no need to chase them. Zero stress involved on my part. My offer was accepted 1st August and I got my keys 3rd October which in my opinion was really quick plus I could've completed sooner but couldn't due to other circumstances. I would recommend them to family and friends and I will be using them again should I sell my house to move up the ladder in the nearby future. I was purchasing a second property, Jackie Farrow and her team were absolutely brilliant, They got the job done really quickly, efficiently and the costs were very reasonable. Recently bought and flat and was told it would be tiring but unfortunately Forster Dean made the process exhausting. It took 8 months for me to move into a flat with no chain, the initial delay was out of their hands, but the final few months Forster Dean prolonged the process unnecessarily and were unable to sympathise with me when I was asking for an update. I just kept getting told to trust them but this became increasingly difficult as time passed. On the day of exchanges Forster Dean forgot to include that I had a help to buy ISA, I declared this during our first chat and in the paperwork on day 1. This added even further unnecessary stress and they failed to acknowledge this. I think Forster Dean failed to appreciate that buying a flat for the first time is a life changing experience and they need to be a lot more empathetic when dealing with clients. I have rated 2 star and not 1 as they carried out a lot of due diligence and to their credit conducted thorough searches, but overall I was disappointed with how they made me feel as if I was putting them out every time I called or emailed, a truly exhausting experience.
Highly recommend using Forster Dean! From offer to completion it’s taken under 6 weeks and I haven’t had to chase these guys at all, they’ve been absolutely fantastic. Regular communication, clear and accurate documentation and a friendly approach too. Jackie handled the majority of my purchase and she was brilliant. I’ll absolutely be using these guys for anything I may need in the future and would recommend to family and friends. Thank you!
Absolute joke of a solicitors. Lost me and my partner a house sale and thousands of pounds because they decided to wait 2 and a half months after they themselves said a certain document was needed to actually apply for it and then attempted to lie about it after ignoring all contact for months. I'd rate far below 1 star if I could. Disgrace
This is the worst law firm I have ever come across at this point I have totally lost faith in them because it's taken them 6 years to get my daughter compensation claim and now a lady called Collete Davis was so rude and totally shut me down for asking her to explain a letter I received stating I have to give them over £9000. Totally upset and frustrated at the negligence of this firm I have now put in a complaint this company cud be a fraud
We had Jackie Farrow and her team to do our conveyancing from start to finish for both our sale and purchase and we where met with such professionalism from every angle. Nothing was too much trouble and any queries we had was dealt with in a speedy manor. Big shout out to Demi our conveyancing clerk and Jackie for all their hard work that didn't go un-noticed. If anyone is looking for a caring professional independent solicitors I would 100% + recommend them. Our sellers went through their own estate agents conveyancing firm and had nothing but a really poor service that delayed everything .. I cant recommend independent solicitors enough ..
