Harry Lea was an excellent conveyancer throughout our home-buying process. He helped us successfully exchange contracts and purchase our house, guiding us every step of the way. Harry was always calm, professional, and patient, and he took the time to clearly answer all of our questions, which gave us real peace of mind. We felt well supported and confident thanks to his expertise. We would highly recommend Harry to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable conveyancer.

We went with dclaw after signing through estate agents. We did all the forms then I read the reviews and thought what have we done. I can honestly say sat in my bed in my new house 9 weeks since our offer was accepted that I cannot fault them. Jack was absolutely amazing especially when we had a few difficulties at the last hurdle. Our house was no chain and we were first time buyers but we found it so much easier all online with the e way portal. Quick to reply to any questions and answer all our questions ( there was a lot as we had no clue what anything meant or what to do most of the time). I would use again if I had to !

Really great company - fantastic comms all the way through our house sale. Their eWay portal is really easy to use and its task notifications make supplying/finding information very easy. Their pricing is transparent and represents good value for money. I will definitely use DC Law again and have no hesitations recommending them.

Sadly have to agree with the overwhelming majority here and say that I had a poor experience and would not recommend DC Law. We used them to buy our first home having been recommended by our estate agent (Gascoigne Halman), to whom they are affiliated. We were assured this would quicken the process. It did not. We were first time buyers and there was no chain on either side. Yet progress was painfully slow. I spent most of my days chasing our solicitor, Rebecca. Emails and calls went unanswered. They sat on a list of about 20 enquiries for weeks before finally sending them to the vendor’s solicitor, just days before the date we had been talking about for completion, which was missed as a result. There is no empathy, apology, professionalism or even friendliness. Mistakes were made that we spotted and had to get them to correct. All round really poor and hugely disappointing. I don’t know how they get away with it. AVOID.

We had an excellent experience with DC Law and in particular with our solicitor, Mr. Dominic Souther. He supported us through both the sale of our property and the purchase of our new home with the highest level of professionalism. Mr.Dominic was always prompt, clear in his communication, and consistently reassuring throughout the process. His dedication and effectiveness made what could have been a stressful time feel smooth and well-managed. We are truly grateful for his outstanding support and would highly recommend him and DC Law without hesitation.

I am so glad I read many reviews of this firm before starting my process with them. So like many others, I was recommended by my state agent to use this company to deal with the documents for my new house. I was comparing DC Law potential fees and another company fees and the prices were very different, so I emailed the solicitor from DC Law provided to me (Mr Alan) during Christmas and today I decided to call him. A lady answered the phone and I asked her if I could speak with my solicitor Alan. She asked my reference number and my surname and asked me what questions I had, so ultimately I ended up speaking with her instead of the solicitor I wanted to speak to. The quotes are also very different between this company and the other one. As an example a declaration for trust is 125Β£+VAT more expensive in this company than in another one that I will not mention the name. Concerning the price of this declaration the lady on the phone told me it is 275Β£+VAT and then I received an email with this price (the email I believe was from another lady that works on this company). After 10-15 minutes of speaking with the lady on the phone I received an email from Mr Alan saying that the declaration of trust is 195Β£+ VAT. So, so far I spoke with at least 2 different people in this company when I just wanted to speak with one and I received 2 different prices for the same document which, to me, demonstrates some lack of communication between workers or some lack of understanding of their quotes. Furthermore the prices are much higher than the other company and after reading many reviews in here I definitely decided not to use this firm. The first impression is very important and to be fair I am not impressed with this company and I would not recommend it.

I used DC Law for my sale and purchase, in particular Thomas Lee. He was brilliant. He was always on hand to explain anything I asked. He was exceedingly patient, even when I went into overdrive as we neared exchange. I would thoroughly recommend him.

We had a dreadful experience with DC Law (who were recommended by our estate agents - we were a bit naive there!) We ended up with three different solicitors dealing with our case over the five months it took to sell our house, which meant that we were asked for the same documents repeatedly. Emails and calls constantly went unanswered and we had absolutely no idea what was going on for months. Things only picked up after we put in a formal complaint, after which our solicitor actually started responding to queries, but the whole process was made far more stressful than it needed to be. DC Law were the complete opposite to the small local firm we used to buy a property who were just brilliant, so I’d recommend looking for someone local!

Look carefully at the 5 star reviews and you will see that they have a very similar template - and interesting that DC law is only interested in replying to the 5 star reviews, no interest in the complaints. Our buyer is using this solicitor and they are completely impossible for them or our solicitor to contact - they have initiated a complaint against them. When they have been contacted they have raised resolved issues, showing they are clearly not able to dedicate the time to handle cases properly - likely due to incredibly high case volume. Would strongly recommend avoiding - saving a few bucks here is not worth the months of stress on an already difficult process!

My mum completed and has moved but has not seen the funds circa 50k due to her from from sale of her home. No response via email and no one is answering her calls nor calling her back from her voicemail.. seems like fraud to me. Hope she gets her money plus the interest that you have gained from having the funds in your account.
