This was my closest park to home when I was growing up! I hadn't been for many years so decided to take a walk round between showers on a Sunday afternoon. I was impressed by the Nature Trail carvings and the general upkeep of the area is a credit to the grounds people. I didn't go into the cafe but as we passed by I could hear lots of merriment and see several people inside, good to witness. I remember the old cafe which had a circular counter inside where I used to buy a small glass of raspberry pop!!!! I hope the water can be cleared of the silt and rubbish which is collecting at the edges of the lakes.

Likely one of the best locations within the neighborhood, easily the cleanest and most exquisite. An extraordinary park to stroll in and straighten up your thoughts. Large enough to literally get lost in. It's surprisingly clean and even has disabled parking. Safely can be an issue, as do I remember a situation where two kids were robbed late in the evening. But the park has cute ducks so five stars...

This place is so pretty and clean. Me and my sisters just drove around to find a place to walk and relax and we came across this park. Didn’t expect such a clean beauty. The ducks were also fascinating to watch, though I do wish they cleaned the lake more often.

Smethwick Park has lot of features; accessible roads, water features, side walks. It’s a place to reflect and relax your mind. The air seem all clean. Playground available for kids and adults. Animals such as ducks, squirrels and birds are seen around here.

We did a 2 hour walk from Langley to and around West Smethwick Park. We did a 6.15 mile walk. The park is in a good location with various services including a playground, basketball area and small lake with wildfowl. Lots of people enjoying themselves and the fine weather. Pathways are good for walking, as they seem newly laid. There are a variety of trees in a small arboretum near the lake. There was litter in the carpark from people eating fast food in their cars and throwing it out. Other than that, a good place to do circuit walks with some slight elevation to make distance walking slightly more challenging.

Fishing, walking, or just time out for some quietness ;) Just built a cafe, and resurfacing the walkways. Also landscaping and repair to kids area to follow. Update: last week I saw about 4 or 5 large parakeets all fighting for the same nest hole. Lots of squirrels to feed ( peanuts in or out of the shells )

We love West Smethwick Park. We have walked around it regularly since Covid. As OAP's we find the walkways around the pool and park area easy now the park has been refurbished. We often pop into the Pavilion for a hot chocolate before going home. The playground is still not open due to being up graded. There are plenty of areas for dog walkers. We love to watch the squirrels and bird watch.
