   This is an honest review of a human being , his taxi and the company ive trusted over any other taxi company in Liverpool and my own borough of knowsley However , my recent experiences of late night journeys with Alpha have been just as bad as the ones I used to experience when using Delta. Im an ex Delta driver . Its been 15 years since I was a taxi driver. There were standards to meet to obtain a licence back then. DBS checks, You had to pass a road knowledge exam and your car had to be over a certain age to be plated and must be of a clean and professional standard. I never get those basic standards when I ring Alpha now. I used Alpha to get me home tonight and I feel I need to speak out. I've been home nearly an hour now and the smell of the vehicle i was provided with is lingering all over my house. This car was damp and smelled so unhygienic I wanted to breathe some fresh air . Driver wouldn't let me open the window slightly to get some ventilation. He was quite obnoxious. His music was blaring all the way home (8 miles). He had no social skills whatsoever and no concept of customer service/satisfaction. This is becoming a regular occurrence where i book a taxi expecting a decent service and a driver who you feel will get you to your destination safely and comfortably. Not to feel sick because the car smells so bad. The driver tried to deceive me of the correct change too. Thats really bad but strangely hasn't bothered me as much as the smell and demeanour of the driver. I would like to know why you taxi companies think its normal to take on sub standard taxis and drivers with absolute disregard for the customers who pay money which makes you rich. How can you possibly do background checks on people from different countries ? This information isn't available to you. Its frankly playing a lottery with your safety booking a taxi nowadays. Who are these people? To you it's just another driver paying you your fee with total negligence towards your customer. Uber from now on. These local private hire companies dont care who they put in a car as long as they pay every week.

   A lot of times Alpha is fine but ultimately they're unreliable. We booked a car to go to the station. It didn't show up. We called and were told they don't guarantee a car, it's diwn to "supply and demand". So if you need to be sure to get from a to b at a specific time, book a different taxi firm.

   Formal Complaint – Alpha Taxis Liverpool To whom it may concern, I am writing to raise a serious and urgent complaint regarding the unacceptable experience my wife and our children had with Alpha Taxis on( 23/11/2025]. What occurred was not only unprofessional but also irresponsible and potentially dangerous. My wife booked a taxi through your service from yellow sub to Old Swan. She was travelling with our three young children, including our five-month-old baby. Instead of taking them to the correct destination, the driver took them to KB, a completely different location. This was not a minor mistake — it caused confusion, distress, and unnecessary fear for my wife and our children, who had no idea where they were being taken. To make matters worse, the journey took around 30 minutes, far longer than it should have. When I called your operator to ask why this had happened, I was told that we had “booked mistakenly,” which is absolutely untrue. The booking was correct. The mistake was on your side — either through your system or your driver. Adding insult to injury, we were charged an additional £20 for a mistake that was not ours. This is unacceptable. Not only was my family taken to the wrong location, but they were made to pay extra for your driver’s error. This situation caused real hardship and distress to my wife and children. A taxi company has a duty of care, especially when transporting families and vulnerable passengers. On this occasion, Alpha Taxis completely failed in that duty. I am requesting: A full investigation into this incident A clear explanation of why my wife and children were taken to the wrong destination A refund of the extra £20 charged Assurance that disciplinary or corrective action will be taken to prevent this happening to another family I expect a prompt response and resolution. This complaint will be kept on record and may be shared publicly, as I believe other customers have the right to know when such serious mistakes occur.

   Quick & friendly induction, Quick phone service and a damn lazy website like window 98 && the customer rates are very low usually 3.60 for a 15 mins rides and 20p goes to alpha beside almost a 25% weekly fees and £6 data charges which makes it even worst £3.60-0.20=£3.40/100=£0.03x75=£2.25 So u the driver gets a £2.25 per ride for almost 15mins (in which the driver has to pay insurance fuel car maintenance and all the traffic rules regulations) On average £10 ride takes almost 40mins and after deduction its not even 60% of the minimum wages beside facing rude customers and first 2 mins of waiting is free for customer and incase of cancellation the driver gets NOTHING ! and the customer still will be able to book another Alpha same time same day :) waiting for a min is just 30p so instead of ordering on delivery apps u can just order Aplha sit in a nice car and get a mc hot served food in £5. That is totally exploitation of drivers like #Uber Happy customers and drivers can goto Hell :)

   I use Alpha about 2-3 times a week. I’ve never had any issues, the staff are always really polite and helpful whenever I have to ring up. I normally use the app to book my taxis and I can book, track, edit and see details of the driver on the app so I rarely have to call up. Brilliant service!

   Excellent service. I ordered a taxi at rush hour to head to the airport, the taxi arrived ahead of time and I made my flight. Staff were punctual & polite during the process and reassured me I would make it in time. Highly recommend for any trips, superb!

   The Alpha Taxis app is problematic as the location of pickup/destination is rarely accurate. Another issue would be if you’re travelling with luggage such as bags of shopping, suitcases or just luggage in general you can expect to be left to struggle loading all the luggage into the taxi yourself (I understand no taxi driver is required to help passengers but it’s just rude and ignorant to leave your passenger visibly struggling). Also very common to be left stranded if the driver doesn’t know where they’re going and on numerous occasions have been left waiting for 1-3 hours to just get home regular locations such as the doctors or the Royal Hospital etc, I even had a driver actually admit to regularly driving the wrong way through a one way system car park. It is very unfortunate that the quality of customer service has significantly decreased.

   Lovely little pub that allowed free parking of my camper overnight. Friendly staff and locals. Dog friendly with home made dog treats. A local from the pub was kind enough to do a quick fix for free in my van the next morning. Really relaxed atmosphere. Thanks for having us over!

   I would not recommend alpha. I attempted to book a taxi on the app. The driver cancelled but two different transactions of £25.00 have been earmarked from my account. I called and the operator advised I would receive the money back in 5 days. How they think its acceptable to take money out your account before even delivering a service is ridiculous won't ever be using again.
