We’ve experienced over 15 callouts for a single dishwasher over the past year. Many visits resulted in no fix — due to incorrect parts, missed appointments, or basic errors. At one point, the machine was non-functional for three months, with no communication from JLA about next steps. Every stage of the support process has been slow, reactive, and frustrating. Despite countless hours of chasing, it wasn’t until threatening legal action that a replacement was finally offered. We’ve now filed a Small Claims Court case to recover the time, money, and damage caused by these repeated service failures. Disappointing doesn’t begin to describe it. For any business reliant on their equipment, this level of service is simply unacceptable.

I would like to mention that a recent call into JLA about a driver was incorrect. I saw this on social media, and it was the reporter lane hogging that was in the wrong. The driver was using the motorway lanes as he should and was moving to the left when it was clear.

** Catastrophic Failures & Broken Promises have Nearly Destroyed Our Business ★☆☆☆☆ Review JLA’s systemic failures have brought our business to the brink of collapse. Despite our full compliance—paying invoices promptly via their portal (once accessible), demolishing walls as requested, and investing thousands in new contracts—JLA: 1. **Repeatedly missed critical deadlines** (e.g., machines promised for March installed 4+ months late), 2. **Falsely blamed us for "affordability issues" while their payment portal consistently crashed, 3. **Cancelled installations last-minute** (e.g., halting a washing machine rollout the day before with a 3 PM notice), 4. **Ignored weeks of emails/phone calls**, forcing us to escalate to Complaints just to restore account access, 5. **Reneged on written action plans** after engineers finalised paperwork. The fallout? We risked losing 3 hotel contracts and faced crippling losses on £7,000+ each in bedding which we can’t take on without the new machines promised. Recorded conversations prove JLA acknowledged their errors—yet did nothing. **Beware**: If you rely on timely equipment, traceable payments, or basic professionalism, *look elsewhere*. JLA’s incompetence cost us time, money, and near-irreparable client trust. Hoping we can source machines else where in time.

If I could give zero stars, I would. JLA has been one of the most disorganised, negligent, and frankly unethical companies I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. As a nursing home caring for elderly residents, we rely on our suppliers to be trustworthy, responsive, and competent. JLA has been the complete opposite. They’ve sent us numerous deliveries we never ordered, tied to invoices we never agreed to, and when challenged, they bombard us with unlabelled, chaotic “evidence” — including voice recordings with no dates, no context, and no link to the invoices they claim they support. They’ve also repeatedly attributed orders to staff who haven’t worked here in months, and even invoiced us for deliveries that were returned. Their delivery notes are a complete mess — unsigned, undated, and in some cases signed by people who don’t even work here. When we asked for proper documentation, what we received instead was a case study in how not to run a business. The recordings they provided actually prove that their staff never once confirm who they’re speaking to or whether the person is authorised to place an order. It’s shocking — and completely unacceptable from a supplier handling essential services. To top it all off, their engineer broke our industrial washing machine, leaving us without a working unit for over four weeks — during which time we had to manage laundry for vulnerable residents by hand or through external help. And then, unbelievably, they charged us. So let’s summarise: They broke our equipment Left us without laundry facilities for nearly a month Charged us despite being at fault Tried to invoice us for unauthorised and returned goods Provided no valid proof for anything they’ve delivered It’s not just incompetence — it feels like exploitation. We are now in the process of escalating this matter legally. If you are a care provider or any kind of responsible business, do yourself a favour and stay far away from JLA.

*Our Experience with JLA's Poor Service and Unfair Charges* There is no 0 star option hence the 1 star. We reported a fault with our dryer to JLA in September 2024. At the time, we were assured that the machine was under warranty. An engineer was sent out, diagnosed the issue, and informed us that parts were needed to complete the repair. A week later, when we followed up, we were suddenly told that while parts were covered under warranty, we had to pay for the callout and labor. We were invoiced £432.60 and told that the engineer would return once the payment was received. After numerous phone calls over two months of chasing JLA for updates, we were repeatedly told the parts were on order. The engineer finally arrived in late January, meaning our dryer had been out of service for over four months. To make matters worse, we were then informed that an additional part was required, and we were assured we would receive a call within a week. That call never came. Despite constant follow-ups and repeated promises of callbacks, no one ever got back to us. Instead, we received yet another invoice—this time for £1,011.79—covering an additional part, labor, and another callout. This was despite our warranty still being in place at the time of the initial callout. When we challenged the charge, we were told it was for an "extra part" and therefore a separate, chargeable repair. Over the past 10 days, we've spoken to multiple departments, only to be told that "credit control has it under query." Meanwhile, we are still waiting for a resolution, and our dryer remains out of service. Our experience with JLA has been appalling—misleading warranty claims, excessive delays, lack of communication, and unexpected charges. We strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with JLA to avoid similar frustration and unfair costs. This is the after sales you get after spending a small fortune with them. I'll keep you all posted with progress.

Absolutely awful company. We have a single dryer in our care home that is two years old and has been out of use for over 4 months! I would leave them but still have 6 years left on the contract unfortunately. Don’t use.

JLA delivered and fitted a washer and a dryer that was not fit for purpose. After several calls and emails asking for them to remove the items, an engineer was sent out. Again within days I called again and JLA sent me an instruction on how to use the machine.. has they continue to remind me that I'm in contract. After a year of no response, I gave up asking and cancelled the direct debit which got their interest, another engineer came out it took him 2 days has he said it was a software problem. It took them another 2 years to remove the offending items, didn't look at my loss however, sending me a bill of over £8934.31 to cover the Contract and cost.

Was kept up to date with when our engineer was on route. The engineer David Devereux was very polite and professional and patiently waited for us to do the required checks before he got on with his work. Would highly recommend this company to other businesses. Well done JLA for your outstanding service!

We have rented JLA industrial washing machines and dryers since we opened in 2006. They give an excellent service, if there are ever any problems we just phone them and they send an engineer out to fix them within 24 hours. The engineers are very polite and professional and have an excellent knowledge of their machines. They will always feedback what the problem has been and how it has been resolved. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Always a fantastic service from this company . Rang up on the Wednesday at 4.30 and requested an engineer to look at my washer. The lady on the phone was very helpful and booked me in for the following afternoon, I got a phone call from the engineer the next morning at 8.30 am to say he was on way. He quickly sorted problem in a professional and friendly manner and advised me on maintaining my machine . Very very happy and wouldn't use any other company!!!
