Previously this accountant traded as Voice & Co. who for over a decade provided a good service to our business. Sadly following the acquisition by Hentons the service levels received have been truly woeful. Staff retention appears to be a major issue now with most, if not all of the original Voice & Co. staff leaving. Account Managers and senior staff seem to frequently come and go, so you're never sure who the point of contact is. There has been a noticeable shift towards upselling and in our experience the only time they make contact is to sell you products such as Xero or to offer pension management for example. An example of the poor service we have experienced would be around credits. Our business is due a credit, the amount of which isn't insignificant, however after over 4 months of chasing the amount owed still remains outstanding to us. Senior management such as Peter Watson care little and do not respond, and the comments from Lukasz Piechowiak that "they haven't got round to it" do not fill you with confidence as I would think over 4 months to raise a credit is sufficient time in most businesses. Confusion around credits and invoices appears to be a communication issue as in our case the Finance Team based in Leeds doesn't seem to know what the Sheffield branch is doing. Andrew Tomlinson at the Leeds office has contacted us several times with incorrect information. I'm not sure if they're working from different systems but in any event they left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing. Unfortunately I would not recommend this accountants based on our experience.
