   I have been attending weekly silvermithing classes at the York School of Jewellery for just over two years and love every minute. Nik and Julie are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced teachers who offer excellent guidance as you work through your project at your own pace. They offer lots of encouragement to develop your own style. The classes are small so you always have plenty of teaching support.

   I've been attending YSOJ for over 2 years weekly as a hobby and it's been great. Julie and Nik are incredibly knowledgable and helpful teachers. Coming from an engineering background silver work has challenged me and forced me to think in a different way, learning and mastering techniques instead of just making a "thing". The process can be therapeutic (and sometimes frustrating) but very rewarding. Nik and Julie foster an environment where you can pursue your ideas with the support of their technical knowledge, learning the right skills along the way. There's a very friendly atmosphere among the other students too!

   I can’t recommend York School of Jewellery highly enough. Whether you are a complete novice or you’ve got some experience in jewellery and or silversmithing this is a great place to learn. Both Nik and Julie are hugely experienced and offer an environment which is tailored to each student’s level of ability. The studio is very well equipped and Its a friendly, supportive place to be. I look forward to my weekly session and can’t believe how quickly the time goes!

   It’s very difficult to put into context just how wonderful YSOJ is without you experiencing it for yourself. Nik and Julie offer an outstanding level of service, pushing their students to do their very best and creating a wonderfully supportive and creative environment along the way. The workshop is brilliantly well equipped and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to give jewellery making/silversmithing a go.

   Love going to jewellery class at York School of Jewellery! It has a really good vibe and small, friendly classes. Nick and Julie are experts in a wide range of jewellery making techniques and can offer extra instruction in other areas such as silversmithing, enamelling and soldering. Classes are relaxed, follow students interests and supports their creativity. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Julie and Nik are excellent teachers who really encourage students to be creative in their ideas. It’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere full of friendly welcoming people. I would heartily recommend the school for anyone interested in learning how to make jewellery using traditional hand-crafted techniques.

   I recently started the York School of Jewellery and it’s simply fantastic! I attend once a week, and every time I leave I cannot wait to return for the next class. You certainly learn a lot (developing skills and knowledge) whilst having a lot fun along the way. I would highly recommend. If you’re looking for a new and exciting challenge that can become a fabulous hobby, or even to eventually turn into a business, this is where you need to be. You won’t regret it.
