Great service and experience today . I had a tyre blow on the motorway at 6.30am this morning and within an hr of my call to driver guardian a recovery truck was with me who got me of the motorway and to safety , put my space saver wheel on and got me on my way. Appreciated the communication texts and phone calls as well . Very helpful and I was impressed .
Where do i start with this bunch.... Loyal customer since 2020 with several policies, then they change their system which causes spam emails and texts to be sent coz they set up 3 policies for 1 vehicle. Due to this no renewal was done and when i needed assistance they left me stranded despite Gareth Halsall (complaints manager...yes GARETH HALSALL according to their own website) admitting in a call that was recorded by myself, due to their system being changed this caused the error! I had to pay for recovery to a local garage and they threatened to cancel my recovery as i left them a scathing review. They have now tried to hide the evidence of their error by removing all my policies from their website account management screen.... Which have all been screenshot as i had a sneaky feeling something might go missing. Now in the hands of my legal team.... Currently out of pocket by approximately £6500 due to their mistake..... And they've ignored formal complaint which i sent them on 9th September. Edit: 5pm 14/09: Gareth's not too happy about the review again, branding me a liar and threatening with a solicitor... Told me to "sleep well"...i always do!...bear in mind Gareth... I removed my first review due to your cancellation of recovery threat..... Did you think i wouldn't leave another? Situation was slightly more different when left abandoned in Solihull.
I have used Driver Guardian for the last 7 years. Owning a motorhome and travelling in the EU it is essential. They have helped me in Germany (twice), Sweden and Spain. Response times have always been within 30 minutes and mechanics have all been brilliant. I recommend them to all my family and friends.
I have used driver guardian in the past when I was single. I found them very efficient when I phoned up outside my home with a flat battery. My fiance has recently been very let down with RAC breakdown service waiting over 3 and a half hours for them to come to his vehicle. I told him Driver Guardian are excellent and very reliable so hes going with them when its time to renew. Highly recommended.
Uses local garages to do the rescue and provide service at a good price including trip to Europe for 90 days. In 2023 I broke down and was quickly rescued to a garage. I was phoned each day to check on my progress. Very impressed by European service

Excellent service at a good price. Have called them out a couple of times over the past two years and they are always quick to come to my aid and make sure I am safe until they arrive. Would recommend to anyone and have referred a friend to them who is also happy with their service.
I have been with Driver Guardian for three years. To date, I have not had to use them for a breakdown. I have, however, always found renewing my policy straightforward, and each year the 10% discount has been applied with no questions asked. I have on occasion had to make phone calls and have always the staff polite and informative.
Do not use this service. They do not have any intention of providing a good service. Rude staff- they try and argue and when they lost the argument , they state to email instead. Hang up on you. Yes they really do this. Wait time are atrocious. 5 hours average time to get them out. Then try to charge you more. Staff blatantly lie to you on the phone. Very normal This company is a middle man . Better to go to the real breakdown service companies. The guys that come out are not Driver Guardian related and are the mainstream companies and even they state that we should not sign up to Driver Guardian. Joke of a company with no professionalism or integrity. Huge relief for us when the renewal was due in two days time. Glad we cut ties. Hope they read this, as our staff will be putting out there own reviews too on social media of the appalling service they had to experience. I could go on about the specifics of the appalling company , I have call logs , recorded calls of there staff hanging up etc. Main Point is to warn the public of what they could be signing up for.
Have been a customer for over 5 years and throughly recommend. Policy is good value and renewal is very easy. Only had one breakdown during this time and the local mechanic was with us within an hour, on a Sunday, and managed to get us on the road again.
