   . First time I went to peak bikes was for a hub service back in 2023. Great communication and told me anything else that needed doing and rang me before any work was carried out, also gave me a quote on the work proved before hand. Had the bike back the next day and everything is still great. Had my forks serviced by him to in September 2024. He’s careful and honest about the work he does and the passion shows. Go to him regularly and does me great deals better then any other bike shop I’ve been to. He’s the best bike mechanic around in Sheffield from my experience. Any other reviews about Michael’s work are sheer ignorance and stupidity. If you want looking after and a precise mechanic. Peak bikes is the place for you!! Rolling into 2025 Michael and I have become great friends and has had my Back more times than I can remember, from advice to great banter and showing me new tricks and tips to able to do my own maintenance now and again. Not to mention how generous he is and how a bike mechanic can make such an impact on making MTBing even more enjoyable to me. He’ll always be the only bike mechanic I go to.    I took my well used Giant TCR to Michael after I'd fallen out with cycling for a while and needed it bringing back up to standard. The communication was excellent and he checked in before any additional work was completed. In addition made some suggestions to improve its performance and comfort. The bike came back feeling like new and I was really pleased with it. Is good to have a local bike shop you can trust.

   Fantastic service and I’m so happy this is in my area. I’m new to bike commuting so I’m learning a lot. First issue was loose breaks which Michael sorted for me on the spot. As my bike was new I asked if he could give it a once over to make sure it was sorted, glad he did as the manufacturer left sone bolds loose! Second time was a grinding noise. Went up, instant diagnosis that the recent grit salt messed up my chain. He said I just needed to replace it and didn’t pressure me at all. However, I didn’t have to tool and I’d like to give local the business. Sorted it on the spot and recommended to lubricant he recommends! No judgement on my error just solid advise. Also, he recommended some new pedals with better grip. I bought them then and there and boy he was right! Bike feels so much better. Later this summer I’m going to have the entire break cables replaced and better pads put on! Don’t go anywhere else!

   Michael did a fantastic job for me as I managed to get an olive stuck in a STI lever, I feared that I would have to purchase a new one, turn the job around quickly & bleed the brakes, reset my gears & fitted my handlebar tape, Highly recommended, a first class job, thanks again.

   At last, a bike repair shop servicing this little corner of our city. Needed a loose headset sorting. Dropped it in, a few adjustments and all good to go in 2 minutes. Wouldn't accept a payment for it either. Top stuff.

   I wanted to have two spokes repaired at short notice. Michael was able to fit me in and repair on the same day. He gave me a call when done and charged a fair price. Its good to use a small local business that provides great customer service. We'll done Michael.
