   I am wriitng a lengthy review because these guys truly deserve my time and effort in writing this. Please remember, I travelled 45 miles, and stayed overnight just to get my job done from these guys, I was willing to stay another night at an hotel if I had to because I knew it was going to be worth it, and I wasn't wrong. I have used many Garages and Breakdown companies over the years, and it was after 8 years of owning my vehicle did I find out other garages and breakdown companies have been misdiagnosing my battery issue until Green Flag and this garage correctly diagnosed it to be an alternator fault. I had my Toyota LC 2003 since 2018 which I have modified into an expedition vehicle and used it to travel across Europe. One of the issues I have always had was my battery draining which required me to disconnect the main battery from the leisure battery ( using an isolator switch), jump starting the car every morning (using a jump starter pack). I had RAC and AA look at it in the past, as well as other local garages, but was always told one of my multiple gadgets was draining my battery despite me isolating it all lol. So every two years, I had to replace my battery with a new one costing me around £130 plus the agro of jump starting it every morning when I went out on my expeditions. On 03/11/25, I broke down in my dentist car park near Saddleworth, I couldn't jump start the battery (its been two years so required replacing). I called GreenFlag and they came within an hour during rush hour. The technician diagnosed it to be an alternator issue whereby the alternator wasn't charging the battery. He suggested not to change the battery because the battery was fine but get the alternator fixed and asked me if he should call out a recovery truck to take me to a garage, I told him no because all my local garage were unsuccesful in diagnosing the issue and always blamed my gadgets for the battery drain. Having googled alternator specialist, I came across this garage and was impressed with the reviews and how dedicated the garage was towards their work. I called the garage on 04/11/25 at 9am and asked them if they can fit me in and replace the alternator, he told me he will call back once he confirms the availability of the part. He called me and was happy to fit me in on 05/11/25. He asked me to get the car in on 04/11/25 so he can get it ready for the alternator change on 05/11/25. I told him I was 45 miles away from him plus I had to get it recovered. So he said to bring it by 9am on 05/11/25 but he wasn't sure how long it might take because he will need to charge a flat battery to get into his garage. I got to his garage around 10pm on 04/11/25 and camped outside the garage (bearing in mind the LC has been modified for camping purposes). I woke up at 5am and charged the battery using my leisurer battery before the garage opens up. At 9am, I was able to start the car and drive it as normal into the garage. When they took my old alternator out, they showed me the reason why my alternator wasn't charging my vehicle the years I owned it, it was due to corrosion which lead to increased resistance and poor connection. So I was happy they confirmed the findings of Green Flag technician. Initially I thought I would have to stay over in Sheffield for the night because I thought its impossible to replace the alternator within the day, but to my surprise they got it fixed and I was back home, 45 miles away from Sheffield, by 5pm bearing in mind weekday rush hour. The price, which includes labour and a brand new alternator made it worth travelling to Sheffield. I ended up tipping them because I was extremely impressed with their speed, honesty, and quality of workmanship. Thank you guys.

   Outstanding Service – Highly Recommend! I can't praise this garage enough! As soon as I called about issues with my van, they got me in straight away and got to work without delay. They diagnosed and changed the alternator along with a few other parts quickly and efficiently. Not only was their quote the best out of all the garages I contacted in the area, but the service was top-notch throughout. What really stood out was how honest and helpful they were—giving me solid recommendations on other things that might need attention, but with absolutely no pressure. A trustworthy mechanic is hard to find these days, and I'm glad I found one here. I’ll definitely be back for any future work. Highly recommended!

   Needed an alternator from a 24 year old car refurbished on the same day so I could drive it home. Took my old unit down to the workshop and they had one already refurbished in stock. It needed the casing turning so the terminals were the same place as my unit. I was told to call back in a couple of hours and the unit would be ready to collect. It was ready on time and my pulley had been swapped over too. Reasonably priced and above all, excellent service. Much appreciated and thank you! I would definitely use again and recommend.

   These guys are fantastic and I highly recommend them. I took my car as I had a issue with my alternator, was told about them by my local mechanic. They took the car in the morning and I had it back in the afternoon all sorted. They refurbed my alternator at a very good price, no messing about.    Had an issue with my alternator so rang these guys and am extremely impressed with their work. I took the car down and they checked it straight away. It turned out to be the alternator but they recommended me to get the fan belt done too which I did. They explained everything to me and kept me up to date by calling me. Price was very reasonable. Overall excellent experience and would definitely return!

   I first used this guy 30 years ago to replace starter motors and alternators so when our van alternator needed replacing, he was my first call. He took it in there and then and was quick and thorough with the job even showing me what was wrong with the old alternator. I'm very pleased with the work and it was a good price too!
