Shockingly poor company! No way of contacting them for any questions or queries, no one answers the phone. I changed bank account details on their online portal but they tried to take payment from my old account, and then charged me a late payment fee. Oh they absolutely love their late payment fees. They’ll give you one on the same day the payment is due if they don’t apply for the direct debit from the correct account. Their online portal for insurance policy is useless! Tried to ring to query this and I am currently on hold for 45 minutes, so basically a reflection of their online portal too. God help us if we ever have to actually make a claim! 4 months and we’re free from this hell hole company and there day light robbery. Don’t sign any contract from these con artists. Save yourself the headache. Theres cheaper, much better companies out there.

Can't fault them. Had a really bad long term illness that signed me off work for several months, no company sick pay. Asked to pay my insurance a bit later, they were really supportive, checked the dates were affordable and genuinely tried to help manipulate the payment dates so I could stagger the money out since it's obviously impossible to make one payment late and not end up in a situation where I have to double dip twice in a month. They gave me more than the extension asked for, I have a really well paying job but it's also an expensive job (lots of driving where I'm paid back miles at the end of the month in the construction industry as a Manager) and I was just struggling with those upfront petrol costs. I called them up, paid them back on time after my first salary came in and I thanked them and the Acorn team for all their help. Don't ignore your bills, make the call. I've never had a situation where a company won't work with me to get me back on track.

Extremely disappointed with Granite Finance. My car was written off in a non-fault accident, and although the other driver’s insurance accepted full liability, Granite are still waiting for payment from the insurer weeks after the settlement was agreed. I’ve done everything expected of me — provided all the information, returned the hire vehicle, and even continued to make payments on a car I no longer have. I’ve received no proper updates, no flexibility, and no support during this stressful time. I’ve been left in financial difficulty through no fault of my own, and yet I’m still being chased for payments on a written-off car, just because the insurer hasn’t transferred the funds. You’d expect a finance company to do more to support their customer or at least pressure the insurer for the payment. Overall, it’s been an exhausting and upsetting experience. Poor communication, no understanding of circumstances, and no urgency to get things resolved.

How can they take so much money and send you “this is a default notice served under section 87(1) of the consumer credit act but not be actively communicating with customers. Awful company 2 months and you will not be hearing from me again as thankfully my policy ends!

Absolutely horrendous!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS Their staff have a disgusting attitude and argumentative- they speak over and you speak like they’re off a council estate shouting over the back fence. Each month I make payments to them and they reckon my payments go missing - I have to send in proof every time of my bank statements and each time it takes about an hour and a half. They’re the biggest pain ever!!! I had to just end the call and call again to get another representative as I had a lady arguing with me down the phone like a commoner!! They want to get some customer service training!!!!! Can’t wait for my policy to be ended so that I can go elsewhere

I have been requesting a call back for the last 5 consecutive days in a row an still yet to receive any call back. Lines are constantly busy and some people who work during the day are unable to wait on hold for hours on end. What's the point in having a request a call back option if granite finance fail to acknowledge requests. Very fast to contact you if you miss a payment but extremely slow to respond if you have an enquiry. 0 stars

Dreadful Customer Service and it is very hard to get hold of them. They send threatful emails letting you know if payments arent made you can be taken to court. When I try to contact them to discuss the matter no one answers or responds to my email. Company should not be running anymore and will hopefully close down in the near future.

How this company is still able to operate its unbelievable. Constantly suffering from technical errors so they claim... resulting in them cancelling your policy then informing your cancellation in a complete different format to the way they normally contact you just shows how difficult and in search they are to get more money out of you. This has been the 3rd time they've cancelled my policy without my knowledge and all they can do is just say sorry there was an error. There's truly no words to say how I feel about them but after gathering a list of different people just in the North east having the same issue I'll be making every effort in detail to bring this to social media for it to been seen to all who needs to be aware!!!

My whole experience with this company was poor, attitude, service and competence is something they need to go back to school for!!! Like most companies that use online and telephone service centres they hide behind screens and could not care less about the customer! £25 penalty for their mistake and I have no way of proving or even speaking to a human!

Tried to take my direct debit on the wrong day, was given a cancellation text with no time frames or anything about anything. Just if you don't pay you will be cancelled. Next day, notice of cancellation. Completely breaching financial conduct authority rules and breaching my consumer rights in the process. I will be claiming for my deposit.
