Pool was too cold for the kids and the showers were far too hot! Not enough showers either. Otherwise it's a nice facility.

Need separate changing room but I went for the swim 4 all and it was good esp as I’ve not been in a pool for 15 yrs Everyone was friendly, clean pool and clean sides.

Returned after a very bad experience a few years ago. The renovations are brilliant, it's now a very clean facility and the staff are so helpful. Downside water is on the colder side, daughter (4) was shivering for the most of it but soon warmed up in the changing rooms.

Brilliant inflatable for kids party this place has just been refurbished and at the moment looks good, the changing rooms are now mixed in cubicles. But apart from that, looks OK.

This pool was built by the miners was kept clean and maintained for use by the village ...ive seen many changes over the years with this pool..standing at the back of the ques to dive off the boards.. swimmming shoulder to shoulder and under water to get past.Today i went swimming for the first time in 2 years at rosso.. it looked tired ,unloved and neglevted.. a closer look made me realise it needs a cleaning. Tiles showimg scum and tide marks and "moss" greenery on the free board tiles needing removing .vegitation on the windows frames seals needs weeding ..this is a fantastic pool that was gifted to the village by the miners via contribution of wage.. i am so disappointed this public amenity is neglected instead of promoted and encouraged to be used ..Appearances matter ...

The first thing that struck me when I visited was that the ladies changing rooms were very small and the floors quite grimey. I went for the adults only session at 12pm, but it was the end of a children's play swim, so there were children in the changing rooms with their parents and everything was wet; the floors, walls and lockers and with it being so small, there was hardly room to move. A better management of time should be introduced where either the adult session is moved half an hour to allow the children to finish, or the children's session is brought forward so the changing rooms are empty for the adults. When I had completed my swim, as it was near to the end of the session, there was a queue for the showers and I was dismayed and flabbergasted to see there were only 2! When I did manage to get to the showers, I noticed to my horror, quite a lot of mould on the ceilings, so really wished I had skipped the shower. My overall experience at Rossington Community swimming pool was very disappointing and to be honest, depressing and I will certainly not be returning. Whilst I appreciate there are heavy financial constraints for DCLT, the whole place could do with a refurbishment, or at the very least a professional, deep clean and a overhaul of the swimming times!
