   Went to public skate on a Tuesday evening. Very basic but it's what you expect for £6 a session. Skate hire is free and there is somewhere to get food. Parking is free and directly outside. You can go swimming at the same place and make a day of it. Everyone that was skating was courteous and patient with novices. There was a good mix of first timers and experts, so you don't feel intimidated. I am not a good skater and it took me a while to move away from the wall but I felt ok and comfortable with that, I then felt confident to move out a little with everyone around me.

   I did a review with a photo few days ago. It’s been taken away. Clearly wasn’t appreciated by management. Guess they don’t respect honesty. I even have the confirmation from google. Would be zero if I could.

   Flooring around rink is slippy when wet. There's always rubbish under the seats and there's always chunks missing out of the ice even after the Zamboni has been over it. The rink is treated as an after thought with no packages to sign up for. They run lessons that are Skate UK and the coaches are fantastic.

   The opening times are shocking for this place and the website even more so. The staff are always pleasant and polite and is actually a good place to go....when it's open

   Sometimes the ice rink has choppy, uneven ice, which makes it difficult to skate, otherwise it is a decent rink
