Really great pool. Went again (as tend to visit every other Sunday with my daughter) & the female lifeguard was brilliant helping my daughter confirm that she could do two lengths safely. She was lovely & great with her. Always clean & tidy.

Been going swimming here with my daughter for a while now. We went swimming this evening at 5pm. My daughter was jumping in the deep end and we were swimming up to the shallow end and back. We were doing this for an hour. All of a sudden the life guard was waiting for us at the deep end. He then asked if my daughter could swimming, I said "yes of course, we have been swimming back and forth fir an hour". He then asked if she could swimming two lengths....."yes, like I said". He basically told me she needs to be able to do teo lengths doing the front crawl. So I asked her to do it. He decided to say she wasn't a strong enough swimmer and I replied "she's probably exhausted at this point". Anyway, we got out and went to reception and I queried what had happened. As expected I was told she DOESN'T have to do the front crawl only and they couldn't understand why, after an hour the life guard THEN had an issue. I had previously left a 5 star review but I'm changing it to a 1 star. I don't appreciate being lied to about the rules and we won't be coming back.

It’s a Really nice leisure centre with an amazing pool, tag active is great fun! The one thing they could improve on is more junior gym times throughout the day and longer sessions for kids whose parents don’t like coming to gyms (personally I think junior gym should be open at the same times as the normal gym).

This is a review just for the soft play area in the newly refurbished building. Went here with my Mother-In-Law and my 4 year old on a Wednesday afternoon in term time as she lives local (I don't) and she said you don't need to be a member to use the soft play There is plenty of parking. There was a bit of a queue at reception as there were lots of people having questions about membership and facilities and only having one person on reception meant a bit of a wait. We paid for a soft play session, about £5 something, and given a ticket but no other explanation. Still don't know how long you get there and figured the ticket was for the scanner to get in. The soft play itself is quite big, safe and clean, my little boy had a great time. The seating inside the fencing bit is a bit sparse and tight, it was quiet so fine for us but can imagine that bit getting a bit claustrophobic. The button to release the door was above a table so kids were climbing on it to let themselves out - not ideal. Overall, it was a decent area where the Little 'un can burn some energy and I can have a sit down, with a cafe area right next to it. We'll be back when we're over that way next. *Couldn't say anything else about other facilities as we didn't use them*

Good value for money for the family swimming. Staff all seem very friendly and happy to help with any questions. A basic pool but great in the way of teaching children how to swim.

Sharley Park. This is my second experience and is just as bad as the first. I attended the bret Club which is the separate building to Sharley Park. Sharley Park have the keys to open and close the barriers in the car park and surrounding. I went to the reception area to ask politly to open the barriers as we were attending a party and needed access to the club. I was informed by the receptionist that they where opening it for me. 15 minutes later I had to go back to the reception in which I asked the same question again and was informed that they are getting someone to sort the barrier. At this time I thought I will wait as this is the second time and I am running late for this party and the future bookings for the day. The gentleman came to me and said he wasnt sure what key it was and he will have to get the other keys as he walked out with me. At this point it was past 25 minutes, I then asked, why is the front main car park barrier open and the bret club access closed? He replied 'there is a guy who is supposed to close them all but he can't be bothered'. I asked if this gate will be open when I arrive at 4pm to collect and he said he will tell the manager, the barrier was locked with a padlock when i arrived. This made me late for the next party which the customer was not happy as the party already started and had to give them a slight refund for the inconvenience which was caused. When areiving back at the club to collect, I had to go back into the reception to find the lights where off and nobody on the front desk. I then had to walk to the bret club to speak to the venue to ask if they had a key for the barrier as it was locked. There was multiple cars waiting to get out of the entrance and we was waiting to go in. We managed to rush and collect the party and made us 30min late for the collection of our next party. This resulted in paying staff overtime to stay due to lack of communication within the bret club. This would of not happened if the barrier was open and accessible for me to gain access which I was told that it would be accessible.

Buildings a bit tired but a pool is a pool, everywhere is nice and clean. Not been in the gym, not my thing, but looks good. All the staff are always lovely and helpful and for me that counts a lot.
