Liz Sherriff...what a wonderful asset to this team. I have been working with her regarding my birth son for 11 years now. She has been there for me every single step of the way every single day of every single year. She listens to me cry, she is there whenever I need her. I had 2 birth daughters go through this process 30+ years ago, and the Letterbox Scheme had not been set up properly for the first 8 years of my eldest daughters life. It was so much harder back then, although the lady who facilitated that scheme was great. This has been the hardest thing I've ever had to go through, but with Liz there, I feel I can reach out and overcome the excruciating pains in my heart when the grief hits me. Her compassion is second to none. I don't feel so alone, and the understanding she shows helps me feel less lonely at times. I can only thank this wonderful woman for all the help she has given me, and I deeply hope she gets recognised for the commitment and dedication to her birth parents. Thank you Liz, from the bottom of my heart.
