Ravenfield Ponds has 5 Ponds which can be fished on a year permit . For extra cost there is also a carp pond to fish. The place is beautiful and well kept feels like a million miles from any where with great fishing . Definitely worth the affordable year cost to fish. A drive down narrow country lane brings you to a secure locked gate which members have access to.

New member at Ravenfield ponds and very impressed. Nice people down there, very secluded and some fantastic condition fish. Had multiple Tench, Bream, Roach and a nice crucian all from."new pond" Can't wait to get down again!

Nice place for a quiet peaceful walk. I park in Ravenfield village and walk from the footpath by St Jame's Church. The only other people I saw were a couple of anglers on the edge of the ponds. Route can be linked up with Firsby Reservoir if you want a longer walk.

An oasis of nature. A hilly circular walk round the ponds with well marked path. Could be muddy when it's rained. Not accessible for buggies or wheelchairs. Quiet, and full of wildlife potential. I'm sure kingfishers would visit. Don't know if it would be busier at weekends. No parking close to them. We parked in Ravenfield village.

A number of well stocked fishing lakes/Ponds in a very beautiful natural environment, very quiet, well set out pegs and platforms each pond offering an array of coarse fish to suit all tastes and a specimen carp lake if that's your style, definately well worth a look, check online for rules and regulations to this local wildlife gem of a place, excellent

Lovely set on ponds to walk around. Very relaxing. We'll maintained plenty of wildlife to look at. Well worth a visit. Not ideal for push chairs and muddy in places so boots or wellys if it's been wet.

WoW!!! I live a stone's throw away from this place and didn't even know it existed. You have to look really hard on the map to find it. There's only a very small single vehicle road leading to the main entrance. There's only room to park a couple of cars. Once you've walked down the track to the ponds you realise you're actually in a little valley. There's steep banks on both sides of the ponds, a track takes you right round with a couple of off shoots that will take you to higher ground. The views of the valley and ponds are great. We walked round on a lovely warm afternoon and it was simply magical. Great for walking the dogs or somewhere to go and forget the world outside the gates. See the fishing clubs website for details on membership.
